Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Unfortunately their work rates, and propensity to give away penalties are similar too.

Super Rugby - I am bored

The answer is greater use of the Yellow Card. I reckon we have enough rules already. Refs just need to better enforce existing rules by using the Yellow Card more often. Otherwise we'll continue to introduce more rules that will only add complexity and confusion, not improve the game for players...

Yep Marto talks shit. Sometimes it's funny but it's always shit.

    Force v Tahs, round 9 2014

Coach Foley to go conservative, Force players to give up many penalties, lots of early penalty goals to Tahs, ref to get frustrated, Tahs by 8+.

Experimental Laws to Promote Try-scoring Rugby in new NRC

Keep the points for a penalty goal the same (3) but narrow the goal posts and raise the cross bar. The game doesn't need players kicking goals from 5-10m inside their own half, let alone the time wasted. OR allow drop kicks only for goal attempts outside the 22m line to encourage quick taps or...

    Sharks v Tahs, round 7 2014

Dennis just doesn't seem up to being captain. The Sharks skipper gave him a comprehensive lesson on how and when to communicate with the ref throughout the match. In the end the ref was either ignoring Dennis's approaches or cutting him off mid sentence. He needs a quick lesson on body language...

    Refereeing decisions

No sorry I missed that match. It happens at lot at all levels of rugby and few refs get it right unfortunately. Maybe they're not fully aware of the law that changed a couple of years ago.

Hope this helps from; http://www.rugby.com.au/Portals/18/Files/Refereeing/Laws/2013%20Laws/2013%20GMG%20130208.pdf Ripping the ball from a player’s possession OTHER • In the case of the ball being ripped or stripped away from a ball carrier by an opponent, the ball carrier is not considered to...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Agree with you. The tough thing is that the IRB is so controlled by the northern unions and they aren't confronted with the challenge of rugby league and AFL like we are in Australia. Yes they have soccer but it tends to attract a different fan base. Another challenge is to keep the ball more...

The Impending Beale vs Folau vs Cooper debate

Folau is an absolute standout 15 who can play anywhere from 13 out. Cooper is limited to playing at 10. Beale for mine will add the most value by being played off the bench. His ability to play from 10 out plus his kicking game makes him an ideal impact player. Beale also seems to perform better...

    Wales v Wallabies, Cardiff, Nov 30 2013

One of my favourite Cummins moments came after time was up when he turned and chased his opposite winger. Despite the fact that his opponent had stepped into touch some 10 metres back, he still crunched him from behind further down the sideline. You can't teach his competitiveness.

    Spring Tour Improvements

Defence - we looked organised and many players are starting to hit in tackles rather than grabbing. We also regularly look capable of getting turnovers now. Straight running - the backs are setting up more effectively, looking composed and not panicking. Well done Jim McKay. A few less cut out...
