    Wallabies 2023

Holloway is having an outstanding year but I just cannot see where he fits in at either lock or in the back row. We have better specialist options in both with excellent cover for the bench. He would not let us down but it wouldn’t make sense looking ahead to the RWC and from where Rennie has...

    Wallabies 2023

Rennie strikes me as a bloke who will give incumbents the benefit of the doubt going in to a new season. If there is a tight call they will get the nod.

    Wallabies 2023

He has an arrogance about his play and a tendency to turn over the pill. In test rugby you need to respect the ball and the opposition. He could win or lose a game for you. Koreibete and Kellaway offer perfect balance and starch. Petaia would be good off the bench as a back three reserve but we...

And probably Kellaway going on last years test form

It will be interesting to see where the Japanese clubs stand on releasing these players this year. Lasy year was a bit last minute and both RA and the clubs were back and forth. Hopefully this year everyone understands where everyone else stands, including the players themselves.

The Quade conundrum……….most want him to fail and quickly fall back into mindset of last year prior to the test season. What he did last year was incredible, yet still the doubters again call for the mediocrity(at test level) of JOC (James O'Connor) and Noah. Neither offer any real comparison to QC (Quade Cooper). We have not...

    Wallabies 2023

Last year Cooper showed he is the more complete 10. I guess we will see how they both shape up come the test series camp. Based on last year and what we have seen so far this year I would still have Cooper solidly ahead of JOC (James O'Connor). We will need them both for that series and the RC.

    Wallabies 2023

Quade and Kerevi will be the first two picked to start. Its nice to see both Lolesio and Edmed improving and the young bloke at the Reds has also been going alright. Not sure about hooker. Porecki was looking OK and now FF (Folau Fainga'a) has looked in good nick the last few weeks. Might be start FF (Folau Fainga'a) with...

    Wallabies 2023

I guess thats true but there is also a fair contingent looking for him to fail at some point. I just dont see it now as he is so in tune with himself and his game. On the back 3. 11. Koroibete 14. Kellaway 15. Petaia has a nice balance to it

    Wallabies 2023

People are underestimating QC (Quade Cooper) again. James O’Connor has looked better this year and he may well be considered for the first test but the games against kiwi teams will show us more about his performance under pressure. Quade just has more time and takes the right option every time. They both...

    Wallabies 2023

Agree. He needs to get more relaxed in the role and realise that he does snot have to make a highlight play every time he touches the ball. He looked as though he had taken steps towards that on the weekend. His ceiling is high If he can remain fit.

    Wallabies 2023

Petaia has been electric on kick returns. He‘s odds on to beat at least the first defender every time. He will get better, as he did last week. He just needs to figure it all out. He has the physical attributes of Folau but nowhere near that level of experience just yet. Watch this space.

    Wallabies 2023

JOC (James O'Connor) has been playing well, as he did last year, but Quade is a pure 5/8. He lives and breathes it and has the vision to direct a test side around the park. Thats a good side but at the moment I do not see Hodge in it, especially with both Banks and Petaia in the 15. Start Quade at 10 and JOC (James O'Connor)...

    Wallabies 2023

Petaia has improved massively in a couple of weeks at 15. If the trend continues he may well be a clear first choice by mid year. Banks also looked in very good form before his injury. A good problem to have.

We are still looking very shallow at 2. DR may need to think about bringing in Latu as the third OS player. Second row looks very strong

    Wallabies 2023

Uru does offer a point of difference and would be an excellent option on the bench to cover 5/6/8. I would have him there ahead of Frost if the latter is going OS. He would easily be the best lineout option of all the 6/8s in the squad and as good as any with ball in hand.

    Rebels 2022

To'omua cannot be the first choice 10 and they need a new attack coach and/or strategy

    Round 5 - Brumbies v Reds GIO 18/3

Surely the TMO or one of the touchies saw the hold back and it should at least have been reviewed? Poor officiating. Penalty mid field just out from the try line at least, possible penalty try at most.

    Reds 2022

Nasser looked very tidy at hooker. He threw well and was solid in the scrum. Also popped up in the right places in general play and contributed a lot over all.
  20. Joe Blow

    Reds 2022

Hes an out and out 13 by the looks. Too many centres to fit into the side but good to have the depth.
