How many lines do we need? Besides the fact that he cant jump in the lineout and his pace is not what it once was, he is a penalty magnet(as always) and we have a bunch of very good young locks + Arnold.

Its a shame we have not seen him in space much over the past couple of seasons. He has incredible finishing skills but has had very limited opportunity in rugby for various reasons.

Leota plays a lot of super rugby at lock. I’d I’ve him the edge over Holloway in pace but in no other area. I agree that putting him at 6 in a big test is a massive call but he may be an excellent option? The other bloke who may be a bit of a Smokey is Vunivalu. Grossly inexperienced at this...

Yes. Sadly Matt Giteau is not available for selection. If he was he might struggle to push Kerevi out of 12? Possibly slot in at 10. Our starting 15 looks to pretty much choose itself. There will be a couple of tight calls. Hooker, I would start FF (Folau Fainga'a) with Lonergan off the bench but would not be...

I beg to differ and I’d guess that Dave Rennie agrees. He is a decent second playmaker and a better 12 than 13 IMHO. He has a load more test experience there than Foketi or Simone. When the cupboard was bare he was thrown in there a couple of years back and did pretty well considering. Since...

It would be a big call to start him. The English backs could expose his inexperience quickly. Vunivalu that is.

Only if Hooper doesn’t go down in the first 10 minutes of any test Back ups are Paisami and I am guessing he has Paisami and JOC (James O'Connor) and then Perese as a last option. If one or more of Kerevi and they go down then he has Foketi and Simone waiting to be called up.

I would have taken Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) ahead of Vunivalu.

Give him a one year deal with an on and off field behavioural clause. He’s a very good hooker when he is on.

Those years in Europe are impressive no doubt but it is still not test footy. Rennie would only get him for short preps between now and the RWC so the games last year tell him a lot.

A second rower in test footy needs to be a step faster than those in provincial and be top level at the core roles. He's neither. Hes just not cut out for test rugby. Not many are at lock. Cooper on the other hand is perfect for it as long as he underplays his hand.

I guess they were having a good look at Arnold and Skelton?

I dont get the love for Skelton. He has never been dominant at test level. Hes an excellent provincial player but he is yet to show any level above good in test rugby, and he lacks lineout prowess.

He was pretty good all night. He will be there or thereabouts

He looked very good yesterday. No doubt Rennie will keep an eye on him in the next few weeks.

Frost could be an excellent option for a 5/6 on the bench. Has he decided to stay in Oz?

    Wallabies 2023

We will see. I agree he is a speciast lock at test level. He is going to have surpass Philip, Rodda and or/ Swain and then Arnold when he comes back into contention. We have some outstanding locks at the moment, Holloway among them. At the Reds LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Smith and Blyth have all also looked good. Its...

If there is room for him. Leota would fill that spot ATM and I would say that Uru would also give it a run. I guess LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is off so that may open up opportunity for a 5/6.
