    Brumbies 2011

I am very suspicious of the syndesmosis diagnosis, especially if it is made on ultrasound. I sure hope he gets a MRI, that's hard to argue with.

Or he could take it on the chin and work to improve.

Nope. My mail is Uglia is starting.

    Rugby - not set pieces

I reckon a rugby ref would apply the random decision generator and come up with a scrum. On another point... Jarrod saffey was picked for oz schools as a prop in 2001. He has subsequently played all his rugby as a back rower. Lots of players move up to the front row as they age but I can't...

    Force v Blues - 2011R04

I don't know about "reamed the Blues in the forwards". I think the Blues aggressive counter rucking kept them in the game and the Blues dropped ball kept the Force in the game. Good to watch, though, and there was certainly no gentleman's agreement at the breakdown.

    Waratahs 2011

I thought he wasn't having his MRI until Monday? Has he had the scan already or is this a clinical diagnosis?

    Waratahs 2011

I don't think he's injured. He had shoulder surgery (?recon) after the Super season last year, so should be well and truly recovered. I suspect he is rusty, he has hardly played any footy since last May, just a couple of trials and some time off the bench. I know I'm in the minority here, but I...

Where have you got the Highlanders finishing, Hawko?

    Waratahs vs Crusaders - 2011R03

The big concerns for me are: 1. The front row. Kepu was not overly impressive against Somerville and only achieved parity with Slipper while Baxter and TPN were dominating their opponents. I think Franks will eat him 2. Hangers. I'm a big Hangers fan, but he hasn't played much footy for a long...

    Shute Shield 2011

I don't know much, but if he's anything like his old man I bet he loves to "farkin' crum".

    Waratahs 2011

Agree with FP. McCutcheon will be an adequate replacement in terms of football ability. What they lose is Waugh's drive, will to win and sheer bloody mindedness when the going gets tough. Mumm is a consistent performer, he is experienced and he is smart. He will go OK as captain. But players...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

My 20c worth: I think Davo could slot in well at No 6. You don't lose anything by having this guy in your team. Phipps looked good with his limited opportunity at the end. He seemed to give them a bit of zip. I would persist with him. I think he will turn out to be a very good half back at this...

    Wallabies 22 - Week 1 Super Rugby

I agree with thatguy, I thought Kepu struggled at scrum time. Having watched him in the latter half of the Shute Shield and in the Nowra trial against Fairbrother, I thought his scrummaging had really improved, but Sommerville really gave it to him until he went to the blood bin. Kepu was...
