    Shute Shield 2011

See you there, Lee. I think this will be a cracker. A bit disappointed that Palmer and Ulugia aren't playing though. When Uni play SD, the real game is in the front row.

    Shute Shield 2011

My apologies. However, I suppose the question remains: Would he have gone as far as he has if he had stayed there? Uni do attract a lot of good players, but they usually make them better players, and that's good for rugby.

    Shute Shield 2011

They're not playing 2s, they're fresh. Mumm, Dennis and Phipps have been released from Wallaby Camp to get some game time and Charles is battling it out with Benny Roberts for the 1st grade hooking spot. Both have solid claims although with styles that are poles apart. All of them came through...

    Shute Shield 2011

Not a bad reserves bench for Uni this weekend. Mumm, Dennis, Phipps, Charles. With the way Norths have been going, this should be a cracker of a game.

    Shute Shield 2011

Big Barry played Aus schools in 06. Dan Palmer and Paddy Ryan were also props in that team. And re Coridas, it was my understanding that players contracted to Qld had to play their club footy up there (Weeks and McDuling spring to mind), so maybe they've let him go. I think he had an academy...

    ITM Cup VS Shute Shield

As my year 5 teacher wrote on my school report: " it's a shame to see such cynicism in one so young".

    ITM Cup VS Shute Shield

When Robbie Deans watched the finals of the Shute Shield 2 years ago, he made the comment that he thought that the finals of Shute Shield was equivalent to ITM cup. He'd have a fair idea.

    Shute Shield 2011

hmmm. He'll have to learn to tackle and to take a high ball under pressure.

    Shute Shield 2011

C'mon Lee. No mention of the sacred turf at Hunter's Hill?

    Shute Shield 2011

Can't let that go unchallenged. Paddy went to Ireland for a gap year straight out of school and came back to Uni colts overweight and unfit with not much recent footy behind him. He played a year of colts and then went into grade. He had to prove himself worthy of a spot in the elite development...

    Waratahs 2012

Vicks is out, Lee. Pulled up sore after extended wallaby squad training. Tom Heslop takes his place. He's another one worth watching.

    Waratahs 2011 post mortem

While I don't disagree with what you say, FP, it is not true that KB (Kurtley Beale) played fullback at school. He was always a 10, although he often "did a Quade" and went to fullback in defence. This was mainly to take advantage of his counter attack rather than hide his weak defence. But he always had 10 on...

    Waratahs 2012

According to the Wiki he's contracted to the tahs for 2012, so he'll still be around next year. I think he's about 25 or 26, and I agree that he's an excellent prospect and will step up to Super Rugby standard.

yep, that's the brother. And he can use Aldy King as a benchmark. No one has bested him in the first round.

    Waratahs 2012

The contest betweem Dewet Roos for City and Mick Snowden for Country was an absolute cracker in the first half with honours shared. Roos probably got on top in the second half when the City pack started to assert some dominance. He looked strong and quick and threatened around the fringes from...

TPN definitely gone. Having an arthroscopy on what used to be his good knee. Probable meniscal tear.
