    Uni vs Wicks

He played at Uni for a while, then went to West Harbour for a year or 2 and has now been back at Uni for a couple of years. He played some games for Junior tahs this year but didn't have a contract. I think he has been offered pro academy at a couple of places but it's not enough money. He's a...

    Uni vs Wicks

I know it was only 10 minutes at the end against a beaten side, but Ben Roberts little cameo at hooker was pretty impressive. A couple of massive hits, a couple of runs and a tighthead. Not bad.

    Uni vs Wicks

I am a Uni supporter, and in fairness to Randwick, they had a few critical injuries. Losing players like Elsom, Chisholm and Mitchell is going to hurt any side. The failure of the "Junior Maninoa Experiment" didn't help either. I was at the game and felt a little disappointed that it didn't...

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Agree. What has Turner done wrong?

    Tickets to Shute Shield Final

Finals are the property of NSW Rugby, so student card and even club membership are no good for those games. Nothing Uni can do about that.

    Tickets to Shute Shield Final

Students with a valid student card are allowed in free to Uni home games.

    Uni vs Wicks

I still haven't forgiven George Ayoub for that game.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Came back from Japan this year and had a couple of games for Easts before breaking his ankle (again). Don't know what his plans are now. Still one of the best schoolboy no 8s since Tim Gavin, maybe took the money and ran to Japan a bit early. If he'd stayed, who knows?

    Uni vs Wicks

Uni's team is hardly fly by night one off blow ins. They have won their last 12 on the trot. Burgess is in because Phipps is off to Delhi, otherwise he would be on the bench. Barnes is there because Hangers is injured and we have struggled for a 5/8 all year. Last year Uni started all their...

    Uni vs Wicks

Hard luck for Jerry and Nathan Trist, both of whom are top blokes and great club men and were both in top shelf form when injury struck. Uni played Mumm and Dennis in the 2nd row last week as well. They have Sam Carter and Dave McDuling on the bench, but no back rower. Presumably Dennis will...

    Western Force 2011

Great player when he's going, but VERY dodgy hamstrings.

    2010 Catchpole Medal

I'm with you Konze. All good choices. TPN is THE MAN!!

    Shute Shield 2010

Yeah, I saw that. I was going on info from some Hobbit supporters at the game yesterday. That's a big call as Sievert was playing very well early in the season.

    Waratahs 2011

Did they put in a tender? On the parking note, there is plenty of parking at Uni and this was made available free of charge for yesterdays game.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

I remember speaking to the coach of the Joeys 1st XV about that at the time. I said something like "How come a guy who played prop last year is No 8 this year?" Bro. Anthony's reply: "Well, you just can't have a prop who runs 100m in 11s, it's not right."

    Shute Shield 2010

Serious ankle injury from what I hear. Speaking of which, it sounds like Jerry Yanuyanutawa had a fracture/dislocation of his ankle yesterday. Likely to be a long term injury. It's a shame because he's a good guy who is just getting started at the Super Rugby level.

    Unsigned Super Level Players

Came back from Japan this year to play for Easts and hoped to pick up something in Aus, maybe the Rebels. Played 3 or 4 games for Easts and broke his ankle (again!!). As one who watched him completely dominate GPS Rugby in 04 (the only forward to score a try in every GPS match), it is very sad...

    Waratahs 2011

With the extended season next year, I think just about every player in a squad will get a run, especially forwards.

    Unsigned Super Level Players

Sipa has had a fair crack at it over the last couple of years and hasn't really established himself. He's hardly one of those players who has been toiling away in club land for years without getting noticed.

    Unsigned Super Level Players

I think Lam has had his opportunities. He had an academy gig at the Brumbies a year or 2 ago and was called in to the Force squad when they were decimated this year. He is playing the best footy of his career at the moment, though, and at 22, he has been around long enough to learn a thing or...
