Are tickets still available?

Can anyone post price, location and parking details for someone who hasn't been to Sydney Uni before.

Cheers

Tickets are available at the gate at Concord Oval. Online sales closed yesterday.

It would be awesome if the game was sold out, but the chances of that happening at Stade Concorde are so small it's not funny. Still, I'll be there and I'm looking forward to it.

Haven't they made it compulsory for everyone who goes to USyd to attend yet, once VSU is cancelled they can...

I was surprised by the low turnout, rain notwithstanding. Was everyone home watching the gayfl grand final replay or didn't they know it was on? I have been to a couple of gf's at Concorde, 2 in the mid-90s and one in 2000 and they were all sold out games, 2 of them absolute crackers (the 2000 one and 1994).

I actually didn;t think it was that bad. Obviously more would've been better but maybe I've just seen too many Pirates games where there's about 1000 in the crowd

And RF, Uni fail epically at promoting themselves on campus. Current students don't even get a discounted ticket price and there's one poster in the cafe at the gym where 1st grade train.

Students with a valid student card are allowed in free to Uni home games.

Maybe it was just the finals then, or the surly security guard. Lucky I had a media pass; they'll give them to anyone these days.

I still think Uni don't promote themselves to the actual students nearly as well as they could.

The 2000 Grand Final was at the SFS.

We got tickets at the gate no problems, and had a great afternoon.

My mates who go to a few league games commented that $30 unreserved was pretty steep for a ticket, which I guess it is when Super 14 tickets start at $20

Finals are the property of NSW Rugby, so student card and even club membership are no good for those games. Nothing Uni can do about that.

Do you guys honestly expect that the Shute Shield competition , which is utterly devoid of promotion by the NSW & Australain RU's throughout the entire season ,& not surprisingly by the media subsequently , is suddenly going
to draw a decent crowd to it's grand final ?
R.L. & A.F.L. has tribal support . There's nothing remotely close to that concept in Club Rugby.
Added to that is the impression by most people who might otherwise have some interest in the event , & who are not necessarily supporters of either club ,is that the outcome is a foregone conclusion anyway.
Despite their protestations to the contrary , the NSWRU & Australian RU really don't give a stuff about Club Rugby , so those of us who do should hardly be surprised or disappointed at crowd numbers.

The brand of Rugby in Australia is currently owned by ARU, and administered/co-owned by the various state unions.

This is the current model. Is this the most appropriate model if the brand owners desire growth and exposure in todays environment.

I think not. The various stakeholders (ARU, NSWRU, Waratah S15 franchise, SRU, Sydney Premier clubs, Sydney Suburban clubs, Private Schools, Public Schools, Village Junior Clubs, Sydney Juniors, NSW Juniors) seem to have conflicting interests, which are not in the best interests of the "brand". Mix in a good dose of self interest and petty politics, and is there any surprise that there is no cohesion?

Thats terrible, lowest crowd ever? Chock full of Wallabies but no one cares? Too predictable final always the domain of the eastern suburb clubs? The club game is dying a death. Cmon NSWRU time to finally pull the thumb out or throw in the towel.

Pretty sure the QLD club GF drew 5000, and that was with one of the teams(sunshine coast) support bases having to travel 120km
