    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Poite did miss the high tackle but overall he's had a pretty good first half. If we're ranking those on the field by the number of mistakes they've made Poite is doing a lot better than most of the Wobs and 1 or 2 ABs.

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Have to say normally I don't like Poite as I think he's a bit too pedantic. However his performance so far tonight has been a great response to last week's complaining. He's pinging pretty much everything without bias.

Really liking how hot Poite's been on offside for both teams.

    Payten calls for Golden Point

I'd rather not be changing rugby in order to attract someone with no real interest in rugby who's flicking through the stations and is just as likely to stop on some reality show. A fundamental change to how games are resolved for the sake of someone like that just doesn't make any sense to...

    Payten calls for Golden Point

Even the Americans abandoned the penalty shootout in the MLS. Don't see a need to resolve a draw in a league type situation especially when it's already well established how the match points work. Then you also have to look at how it would impact the other teams in the competition. If South...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

FINAL SCORE: ENGLAND 21 CANADA 9 ENGLAND CROWNED WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONS Canada started the second 40 well gaining territory and then forcing a penalty at the scrum as the English backrow broke early. Harvey's kick just had the legs to get over but it was pinpoint accurate and they all...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

Most of the crowd seem to have stuck around after the 3rd-4th place play off that France won just before kick-off of the Final and why not with the quality on display.

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

HALF TIME: FINAL ENGLAND 11 CANADA 3 This one is England's 4th final on the bounce. They lost the last 3 to the Black Ferns and the fact that they're not the opposition this time the English must fancy their chances. Since losing the final by 3 points last time out their focus of the last 4...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

FINAL SCORE: France 25 Ireland 18 France looked to get back on terms immediately in the second half. A decent restart coupled with some great pressure at the breakdown caused Flemming to concede a penalty. Le Duff narrowly missed the kick and it remained 15-12. France continued to apply...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

HALF TIME: 3rd/4th play-off FRANCE 12 IRELAND 15 Ireland started with great intensity putting plenty of pressure on the French in their own 22. This lead to a penalty which Ireland kicked to the corner. The organised French defence managed to hold out for 5 minutes against the Irish tide...

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

A decent box kick is a great weapon to have especially if the chase is good. Unfortunately none of the Wobs scrumhalves can consistently produce a decent box kick. For me if there's a Tier 1 nation that needs a fulll time world class kicking coach it's the Wobs. Don't see why a team wouldn't...

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Going for a Tier 1 test record is something worth mentioning in my book. The fact the Wobs denied them that record is also worth mentioning.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

I think just about any other Tier 1 nation would have fancied their chances against either team based on how they played tonight. Having said that I don't expect either team to play so poorly anytime soon.

We're gonna need a bigger headstone.

They could put that quote on Peyper's headstone "There's no clear decision there".

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Yes and this one is at least on a par in my book.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Probably the worst test match of the year so far. But I doubt any wobs fans will mind if they somehow come out with a win. Still win or lose both teams have a lot of areas to work on after this one.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Beale came up with a candidate not too long after too. In general Wobs passing has been really poor even taking the conditions into account.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Should have been a penalty for holding on there or a 5m scrum. Still Aus got another pen and tied it up. They've been putting a bit more pressure on in the right parts of the field and it's paying off.
