    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

IF you guys don't want Hooper send him up this way. Would be a double win for me. We'd get a fantastic player and finally a 7s team on the circuit to help his transition. Seriously though having depth in a position isn't a bad thing and bagging on the guy who's showing the rest of your piggies...

10 is definitely a big issue. Not having either half back spot nailed on less than a year out from the RWC would scare the shit out of me if I was a Wobs fan. The lack of grunt in the pack and the poor basics are also a worry. There's no doubt that when things click under Link the Wallabies...

I think he's not being picked because he's signed for us up here at Leinster so won't be in the Wobs RWC plans.

One of the things that made me very happy about Ireland progress under Schmidt was hearing the players talk about the emphasis Joe put on basic skills. They said any error in basic skills, body position etc. was punished, with laps etc., as Schmidt's philosophy is that if the players can't get...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Final score ARG 31 SA 33. Unlucky for the Pumas they put in a mighty effort but just couldn't bring it home. When they get into these positions they need to keep the scoreboard ticking over. 3 points in the last 25 minutes just wasn't good enough. They're getting closer to their 1st TRC win...

Fair play to Steve Walsh for telling the Pumas player there was no need to go to the TMO on that missed dropped goal as he was in the perfect position.

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

ARG much more accurate in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half and rewarded with 2 tries. Suspicion of a forward pass on the 2nd one but the TMO didn't check it. 25-16 up and a huge chance for them to get their first TRC win.

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Argies were much the better team in the 1st half. Their scrum is a real weapon. SA made the most of their opportunities. A little more accuracy from the Pumas and they can still win this one.

Fair play to them I say and all due respect. As you say most fans will say fair enough and we can all have a drink and a laugh after games and swap stories. Long may that continue. In the case of whingers it pretty much always a minority of vocal fans who do it. I don't think there's ever been...

I learnt all about "bad referees" from my dad. I love the man but he's biased as fuck. Every game he watches in whatever sport the referee is out to get his team. He never once sees the referee get anything wrong for the opposition. He watches a lot of soccer and if he had his way most of the...

It really pains me to say but Wob fans have eclipsed the Poms as the biggest whingers for the last few years. I miss the days when Aussies would take it on the chin then come back twice as hard in the future. It can't be the refs fault every time you lose.

You're right the Wobs should just give up there's no way they'll be able to mould a team that's greater than the sum of it's parts. If only the Wobs could turn the clock back to 1990s before AFL and RL existed and by default rugby dominated in Aus. While we're at it England, Ireland, Wales and...

My one positive from watching this game is that Sky Sports just advertised that School of Hard Knocks in back in a few weeks time. Love that show.

The way the Wobs played tonight it was just a case of staying patient and waiting for them to cough up the pill, then pounce. No need to force the game when the opposition are going to give you a better attacking platform if you back your defence.

That tackle by Barrett sums up what the ABs have done to all the optimism the Wobs have built up under Link coming into the rugby championship.

He's certainly not a classic pilfering 7 but he's still a great player in the mould of the likes of Marthyn Williams and David Wallace. Linking 7s may not be archetype but they can be very effective when the backrow is rebalanced especially in a team that likes to spread the ball.

Great try by Hooper. Good to see the Wobs showing some heart and not letting their heads drop.

You do what every other team does in the world you look at the tapes and you learn from it for the next time you get that ref. Sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesn't. Whinging about it never made any team better. Part of the reason why the ABs are so good is because they're masters at...

ABs deservedly ahead, they're the only team playing good rugby. Playing with ambition and flinging it around means absolutely fuck all if you don't look after the ball.

Wobs looking better this half but they need to look after the pill.
