    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Every Wallaby back seemed to want to be the one to score the try rather than be the one to give the winning pass there.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Great start by Australia. High tempo right from the kick off and didn't take the foot off until they scored.

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Let me first say that the officiating was really poor today. However, just like new players, new referees have to developed and they have to tested at higher and higher levels of the game. Just like players some bad performances are an indication that they're not good enough to cut it at that...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

There's certainly enough variance in Australia's level of performance to make it a possibility. That first win is becoming a real mental block for Argentina. They'll probably need a near flawless performance against either Aus or SA having an off day to get over the line. Once they bag their...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Poor guy in the commentary is really struggling with the names of the Argie subs. I could swear that he called Luca Noguera Paz, "Luca No Getta Pass"

    That was a try.

If you buy up their debt from the Americans you might be able to do a deal with Fernandez.

ABs really do have superb concentration never switch off. They score so many points when other teams are already thinking about the half time break.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

I wonder if Munster morale was impacted by their little admin error earlier in the week. Would have been a fun team meeting to be in the day after.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Sexton broke his jaw playing for Racing so he's probably going to miss the November tests.

    Bingham Cup 2014.

Hugh I think I speak for everyone when I say no one minds you hogging the thread we're enjoying your posts and the pictures you put up. I love reading people who are passionate about rugby and the Bingham Cup encapsulates all that is great about our sport.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

There's no figure agreed yet but it will be less than both Racing (€700k) and Toulon (€900k) were willing to offer. Tax will be more favourable in Ireland but he'll almost certainly be taking a pay cut. It's expected to be in the region of Jamie Heaslip's €500k a year.

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Sexton is reported to be on the verge of signing a 4 year deal to return to Leinster from the 2015/16 season. http://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/irish/2014/0825/639186-report-sexton-to-sign-four-year-leinster-deal/#idc-cover The paper that reported it are a bit hit and miss with stuff like this...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

I'm really happy about the peace deal. It doesn't do the wider rugby world any good to have one of the rugby heartlands constantly exposing it's dirty laundry to the world. Hopefully they get back to talking about rugby now and focus on making the regions and the game better. I'm happy that...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

The English clubs have been emboldened by getting their own way and having the Heineken Cup scrapped and replaced by The Rugby Champions Cup. They'll keep pushing and testing the boundaries as much as they can. I think we've already passed the height of the Unions power and from now on the...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

If I were going to produce a youtube show to spotlight the NRC I’d do something along the lines of Soccer AM from Sky Sports UK. You could use a mix of footage from the highlight videos and footage captured by volunteers on game days. Take some of the segments from the show to give you a...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

While live streaming is a very nice idea I think it's something that will come in time as the competition grows. As mentioned keeping costs down is essential. When you're looking at where every cent goes $5k per game adds up pretty quickly. It's maybe something for the future but it's good...

    2014 Women's Rugby World Cup.

It's been announced that the English Women's 7s team have turned pro. Overall it's another positive step in the development of the women's game. I do have a slight concern about the focus on 7s above 15s but Olympic funding probably had a big impact...

    The League Media

That sparked an image in my head for what I thought would be a funny promo for Aus rugby. It starts with a guy in the shirt of his favourite league team seeing his wife off at the door. Then his league mates turn up and ask if she's gone yet. When he nods they all pile into the house. The...

An Open Letter to Fans and Critics of the National Rugby Championship

Well said #1 Tah. When you talk about a whole generation like that it brings to mind something my fiancee once explained to me. In Japan there's a generation split between those is their mid 20s and younger and those who are older. Older generations are inherently optomistic due to Japan's...
