Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Nice try. Now don't switch off at the restart.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

A bit of white line fever there from the Tahs when a little patience was called for. Did really well to get into the position.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

He mentioned the foot so I'd come down on the side of poor eyesight. Would have expected a little more time spent checking the foot. With so much talk this year about the TMOs taking too much time, maybe that rushed him a little. But if there was one decision that deserves some extra time it's...

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Certainly looked like a foot in touch on the try. Other than that the finish from Nadolo is why you would keep him around despite the obvious short comings in other areas of his game.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Saders are doing really well scoring points when they've been 2nd best by a fair margin so far. Whether or not the Tahs can do the same when the Saders have a purple patch could ultimately decide the game.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Tahs have been doing well keeping the play in the Saders half but the Saders have kept the score the same. They just need 1 converted break to tie the game up. Costly mistake kicking out on the full there.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

It's a pity Carter has to go off. Want to see the best players perform in the final no matter which team I'm cheering for.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Saders only 7 back without really being in the game thus far, certainly not a disaster for them. Tahs need to stretch out again to keep the momentum.

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

Tahs are doing well to keep the tempo up. Not letting the Saders settle and get a foothold in the game. Keep the points coming.

    International Eligibility

Can't see this rule change devaluing the Olympics as there are already plenty of sports that allow athletes to change allegiance. It's happened enough now that it barely raises an eyebrow when a medal prospect's passport application is fast tracked. The vast majority of nation changing will...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

Shocking news from France. Rougerie, Pierre & Kayser attacked in a night club by a dozen people carrying swords and machetes. Does anyone have any more details on how the players are? http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/rugby-union/28393792

    Adopt a finalist 2014

I thought this thread was going to be adopt a non-finalist. A big photo gallery of non-finalists, their heads lowered in defeat. Then a voice over: The Cheetahs don't know how to defend. Every week their defence is abused by the opposition. For just $15 a month you can help the Cheetahs...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

I think as usual with a dispute like this, when both sides are slinging mud, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. If both sides put as much effort into finding common ground, as they put into trying to score points via the media, Welsh rugby would be in a much healthier position. I have...

    Aussie Player Exodus

According to the IRB it's Australia A. Edit: Sorry meant to include the link too: IRB officially call the 2nd team the "next Senior National Representative Team" http://www.irb.com/mm/Document/LawsRegs/Regulations/02/06/85/13/140205DOIRBNextSeniorNationalRepresentativeTeam2013and2014.pdf

    Aussie Player Exodus

I'm not sure inventing games for your A side is the way to go. If there's a need and a desire to play A fixture already then it makes sense to have that as your 2nd team. But going to the expense of arranging A fixtures just to lock players into Australia seems crazy to me. With such a tight...

    Aussie Player Exodus

46% of the Top 14 still gives the French a bigger pool to choose from than either Aus or NZ (or any test nation other than England for that matter) but with the way their recruitment is going that won't be the case for too much longer. The fact that we're also seeing a big increase in foreign...

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby Season 14/15

With both Humphreys and Anscombe leaving Ulster, resulting in Kiss having to cover Ulster until there's a permanent appointment there's a real uncertainty around Irish rugby at the moment. The recent appointments, including Nucifora, have left me really underwhelmed. Not really what you want a...

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Thought it was an excellent final. Really ebbed and flowed. Overall a pretty good tournament. I'm very happy with Ireland's 4th place. Getting NZ in our pool next time isn't a great reward; but at this level you're going to get at least one big team in your pool. England's pool looks...
