Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

Mate, the top 10-12 is probably the tightest it's ever been. To the point that the rankings are largely irrelevant at the moment as any team can win it on their day. When we show up mentally we are as good as any of them. The issue is we either just don't or we don't maintain it throughout games...

Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

It was. France despite being officially ranked No.2 are probably deserving of being considered the best team in the world right now. And we went toe to toe with them in what was a very engaging game. IT's just frustrating to see the same issues and poor decision making continue to plague us.

    Lions Tour 2025

I swear if Rugby wasn't so intrinsically linked to NZ cultural identity then the likes of Robinson and the rest of his NZ Rugby cohort would be even more exposed for their lack of vision and ambition as administrators/business managers then they already have been. I would call their perspective...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think that's why after playing with the idea of moving their season to directly compete with the other football codes they then backed out. Research probably suggested it would be even worse than at present. They've already had to reboot their coverage one year into their current deal. Not...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I meant more in terms of overall ratings etc.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Which I always found those people claims humorous and completed not grounded in reality. We are fourth if you take the BBL into account, if so, we're a solid 4th well ahead of the A-League who are realistically battling it out with the NBL for 7th/8th behind the NRLW/and Super Netball and WBBL.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The A-League suffers from something we thankfully do not. That being several significantly higher profile and higher quality leagues established over decades. As you say, if you're good enough to play in one of those leagues it's a no brainer. You go. Just from a development stand point the...

    Rugby 7s general chat

Not saying it's a bad thing. Just more a continuation of an alignment in terms of sponsorship to the Japanese market.

    Another Japanese organisation.

    Waratahs 2023

Interesting that it's a Japanese company. Makes me think that no matter whether we stay with SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) or go it alone we should be pursuing something with the JL1.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The 4th round of the RESC was played over the weekend. With a couple of surprising results. First in the west Lusitanos hosted the Iberians in their return fixture from round 3 in which the hosts Iberians lost narrowly to Lusitanos 20-22. This time round the Iberians turned the tables on their...

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

I wasn't suggesting that he be anointed the next big thing. Just that in terms of talent ID that he should be monitored. Which is something that is done in a number of sports both here and abroad.

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from the Force U16s number 7. One they should be looking at seriously for the future.

19 all at the end of the 1st half. Makes me miss the NRC and think what could be possible if it were to return and be managed properly. Fun to watch as a neutral.

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

Games being place at real pace. It's making for enjoyable viewing. Pres XV currently leading. Quite like this concept. Would like to see NSW emulate it.

National U16 and U19 match discussion.

Tahs u19s really came up big in the 2nd half outscoring Qld 26-7. Good day for the Tahs.

If we could only hold on to most of them. Or at the very least the best of them. Anyone know the score of the Brumbies/Force U16s game?

    Australian Rugby / RA

And what is also important particularly with the junior structures is consistency.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Pity we aren't in a better financial position. We could buy out Worcester and run it as a pseudo- Australian franchises in the Premiership.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Apparently it will be a team from each of the US and Canada. Likely the two that competed in the challenge series against the Jaguars XV and Penarol earlier in the year. So the American (formerly Glendale/Denver) Raptors and the Vancouver (Uni of BC Old Boys) Ravens.
