    Australian Rugby / RA

Which is why given we're staying with SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) we need to go with more not less and certainly not the same amount of content as we are offering at present. As maligned as the BBL has become for it's overreach in terms of games there is still value in the ability to prove 56+ games of domestic product...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

They've actually offically announced the new format and name overnight. A couple of interesting things. There will be 7 not 8 teams with the Canadian team not making it to the finish line. No idea what happened there but considering no one I've seen comment on Rugby Canada in the past several...

Stan aren't carrying it this season.

Raptors and a Western Canada based squad. Though this move could open the opportunity for a Mexican squad in the future.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

On the above the Asian based French Rugby blogger who runs the Asie Rugby site (which is actually a pretty solid source of information) mentions that it will be run during the same window as SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) in the first half of the year and that the goal will be for 11 nations (Sth Korea, HK, China...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think that deal only covers the Autumn Nations Cup. Though I'm not totally confident in that. But the article says Netflix.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Plans have been announced for Rugby Asia to look to emulate SLAR/RESC with the Grand League in 2024. Early plans are to have 8 clubs/franchises from a range of Asian nations. No exact details on who or what form it will take but it seems to be following a trend looking to create pseudo-national...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think that's a joke name that some people are suggesting based on the F1 series name and the recent financial issues in the Premiership. But this series seems to be focused around the 6Ns and not clubs. Which could help provide something different than the F1 series. Not purely just a focus on...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Not Australian Rugby but interestingly enough Netflix is apparently very close to agreeing to a deal to make a series in the same vein as 'Drive to Survive' which dlfeatured the journey of F1 drivers with the 6Ns.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

I agree. Rugby when played with speed and with a consistent flow is amazing but there's also a tribal element that I enjoyed about SRAu that was lost this season in my opinion. Which is the crux of my frustration. I've little interest in watching two NZ teams play nor am I keen to see a similar...

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

There's always the NRL. I'm not kidding. This was the first year in a long time I've watched more than a handful of games for a handful of minutes. Outside of Waratahs games I may just opt to watch that instead of the Kiwi's running about. More of the same from SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) is a pretty meh proposition...

Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

Yeah, I was getting pretty down on this season until I saw our injury/unavailable list and holy shit. The fact that we at no stage were comprehensible beaten by anyone. In fact running both France and Ireland close away having to use so many players just to cover the losses changes my perspective.

    Super W 2023

Better schedule than this year. Would still like to see it expanded to a double round robin.

Having no NRC is better how?

Clearly they've bought into the BS about there being thousands upon thousands of fans turning out for Shute Shield games based off literally two Grand Finals that have been constantly rehashed by some of the dinosaurs still trundling out in the media with their rose tinted glasses on. Because...

Used by several of the big schools in the US. Wouldn't be a bad choice.

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

The was an article posted by Geoff Parkes on The Roar a few years back around something just like this. A month long tournament featuring primarily Australian teams both Men's and Women's. Would really enjoy seeing something like this.

Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

If we played a near perfect game and still lost then yes. But when the same mistakes and issues once again arise then sorry. No.

Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

No argument here. At this point I beginning to think it's a refusal more than anything else. As a player you evolve and work on your weaknesses to compliment your strengths. So I cannot for one minute accept that these issues haven't been made abundantly clear and even moves to address them...
