    CAS Rugby 2023

They said it has been 5 weeks between this game and their last. Were never going to be exactly polished.

    CAS Rugby 2023

Really? Look like they care to me. Scoreboard backs that up as well.

    Rugby 7s general chat

That's doable imo. There was an article by Geoff Parkes on The Roar a few years back based around something similar to a 6 week 7s competition. Just from an Australian perspective we could take our 5 franchises plus the Fijiana and look to a couple of Asian national 7s teams to be based here...

    Rugby 7s general chat

Super Rugby 7s wouldn't be a bad idea in my opinion. Could even look to make it an Asia-Pacific focused competition by opening up opportunities for some of our northern neighbours to host teams. As for timing. September-December would be a solid shout.

Jesse Southwell won Gold with our women's team in Birmingham and is currently playing halfback for the Knights. It's not just fringe players.

That's not quite right. The bigger names would be earning close to $60k which includes the two game Women's Origin from next year. While each club will be allowed to contract two marquee players of over $100k a season (which would involve employment opportunities outside of football) outside of...

Having no NRC is better how?

I've suggested a hybrid model in the past. Let the top 2-4 Shute clubs in while also running a combined 'Sydney' side for contracted players/prospects not part of those 4 while running it the same as previous. If they get kicked then they get kicked. Which is most likely.

    Rugby 7s general chat

There's a number of Rugby girls playing in the NRLW. Which is fair enough as they have the choice between playing Rugby for nothing or being paid to play in what's a pretty high quality competition. I know which one I'd choose in their shoes.

    Waratahs 2023

What's even more nuts is that I know of several players from the subbies level that have been approached and have accepted offers from places like Spain and Dubai among others. It's not the Shute Shield but these kind of players represent a level of depth for Shute clubs to draw from season on...

Right, well. Good luck to him.

    Waratahs 2023

Only highlights the need to something to bridge the gap between club and the professional game to return.

Gilc Gilchrist has bigger issues than Rugby to worry about at present.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Can't find the combined total with regionals and BVOD. Not a great time slot to be honest.

Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

Well, outside of the last 10 minutes we controlled that 2nd half. Much better. But I think we won that in that 10 minutes leading into the break.

Time to pare back their involvement in the game. Just. Yeah, I'm over them.

Having no NRC is better how?

I've always liked the idea of the ARS and have often wondered if we should lean more into it in terms of Rugby below the professional tier. Make it a two division structure with a 1st Division featuring two teams from both Sydney and Brisbane a team from Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. With the...

Having no NRC is better how?

Pretty sure it was. Played in Adelaide as well.

    Rugby Scrums

Certainly would be worth looking at whether it works. Would remove some of the inherit instability around performing the hit at such a low position.
