Wallabies v Scotland, Murrayfield, Sun 30th Oct, 3.30am AEDT

I agree that's a likely side Reg, but if it were me I might be a bit more adventuress with youth for the bench. Perhaps Lonergan for Fainga'a, McDermott for Gordon, Lolesio for Hodge and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) for Wright.

Agree Reg, don't know what happened to Daugunu this year. He had been very good previously, and was outstanding in the first Aus A match.

    Waratahs 2023

I'm wondering about Swinton. I don't hear any news, but is it possible his injury is career-threatening. Either way, with Hooper, Gamble, Harris, Sinclair, Warren-Vosayaco and Gleeson we're pretty well set up for back-rowers (not to mention Hanigan and Holloway, each of whom can play in the back...

    Wallabies 2023

A bit unsure about Wright. Had a great Super season, but hasn't really stepped up tp test level. You see that at all levels of the game, a guy who excels at one level but can't take the next step. For mine, Wright, Holloway and Wilson all fall into that category.

    Wallabies 2023

I assume Leota won't be fit. The big omissions Swain, Wilson & Vunivalu. Talakai the real smokey, but Tom Robbo, Langi Gleeson, Ben Donaldson, Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) and Jock Campbell probably all not completely expected.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Banks and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) on the tour ahead of Vunivalu for mine. Thought Donaldson was a bit indifferent, Edmed is certainly the stronger runner, but not particularly creative. Neither 9 is anywhere near the top three, centres were solid enough but no more. Of the forwards, Lonergan, Eru and Hanigan...

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Defence has been the real weakness. Vunivalu has no idea, Tuttle is a non-tackler, Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) came in off his man for that last try, and generally no-one seems to know their role. Bits of the attack have been good, Pone excellent until he came off, Lonergan busy, Hanigan and Eru both running...

    Wallabies 2023

I would expect Philip and Sio will be selected, and don't be surprised if Gleeson and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) get a spot. I think Simone is unlikely, and as BH said, if Foketi is fit he is likely to be included.

    Refereeing decisions

And are you allowed to just run over them, assuming they are holding their ground between you and the kicker. As opposed to a deliberate push, particularly a bigger chaser like Valetini?

Edmed has definitely played 12 off the bench, more than once.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

Will Harison appears to have dropped completely off the radar in the eyes of many here, simply through injury, not any loss of form. I will be very surprised if he is not in the 23 somewhere. The other player you've overlooked is Charlie Gamble, who was arguably the best player in the team for...

Australia A v Japan XV matches

I would be starting Hoopert at LHP ahead of Gibbon, Smith at lock ahead of Neville and Wilkin at 7 ahead of Callan. I wouldn't change the halves, but look for 2 new centres. Certainly Stewart at 12, probably Henry at 13. Would also be inclined to start Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase), possible in for Vunivalu.

You seem to have set on Bell's scrummaging BR. I would suggest he is probably ahead of any 21 year old I've seen as a scrummager, given most props are 28 before reaching there peak at set play.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

A number of this A team showed up tonight. Campbell, Daugunu, Gleeson excellent, Hanigan and Frost both put in a huge amount of work, Donaldson took control of the game in the second half, some of the subs were excellent, particularly Wilkin and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase).

Creighton really out of his depth here

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Don't know what Rennie has against Campbell, been the best 15 all year, outstanding here today. Daugunu and Gleeson been very good, Hanigan getting through a lot of work, a lot of other performances pretty disappointing.

Bledisloe 2. Eden Park, 24th Sept 7.05pm NZT. 5.05 pm AEST, 3.05 WA

I know most don't agree, but I've said it before and I'll say it again. The rolling maul contradicts a very fundamental tenet of rugby, that an onside defender has the ability to tackle the ball carrier. The flying wedge created by NSW Country sides under Darryl Harbrecht was banned for that...

Does anyone have an idea as to when we can expect Perese, Foketi and HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) to be back playing?

I don't know if it was calculated, but certainly dangerous and reckless, should be a suspension.

    Waratahs 2023

While it's an advantage to be tall, catching contestable kicks is as much about being able to jump and timing that jump as it is height. Look at Brian To'o in the NRL, only a little bloke but very safe under the high ball.
