    Waratahs 2023

My team would be Bell, Porecki, Holtz, Holloway, Seu, Swinton, Hooper, Gleeson, Gordon, Edmed, Jorgensen, Foketi, Perese, Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase), Donaldson, Res: Latu, Lambert, Faulkner, Sinclair, Gamble, Goddard, tuipoutu, Nadolo I know they have been playing Faulkner at LHP, but I believe he played plenty...

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

Agree FP, I thought the cleanout was sloppy as much as slow, there were times there were two Tahs players there, but not cleaning out, just loitering with intent!

Good thought Wamberal, but probably not fit enough!!

    Wallabies 2023

Light Blue, I actually agree with everything you said, regarding Pulver, Raelene and Jones, it doesn't change my suggestion that a professional coach lives or dies on results. If you employ a salesman, his job is to sell whatever you are dealing with. Providing you give him good training, and...

    Wallabies 2023

Sorry Wamberal, while there is a bit of nuance, it is all about results, even if it shouldn't be. NRL, soccer, rugby, American football, you name it, coaches are routinely sacked when the results don't go there way. How many CEO's have you seen with a run of poor results, have the full support...

    Wallabies 2023

Rodha, as I've said I would have kept Rennie on until after the WC but, despite your passionate and unwavering support of him, a professional coach's job is to win rugby matches, and at the very least improve the performance of the team. Just like a corporate CEO, a salesman or most other...

    Waratahs 2023

I probably favour Loane, but Gavin was good, missed a fair bit of time through injury as I recall. Kefu was a devastating runner, but didn't have the all-round game of Loane or Gavin imo.

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Reds

From a Tahs perspective, not a bad hit-out but a lot to work on. I don't share Hawko's concern with LHP, I thought Lambert was good. The Tahs scrum dominated until he and Holtz came off, when Faulkner and Sitaleki Latu came on the Reds got on top. Bell is crucial to the Tahs of course, but I'm...

    Wallabies 2023

No Rodha, WE can't unequivocally say that, you may believe it, but many (me included) don't. I have said before that I don't hold Rennie solely, or even principally, responsible for the Wallabies poor performances, given Deans, McKenzie and Cheika also couldn't get them to perform. While it is...

    Wallabies 2023

I don't think Rennie is a poor coach necessarily, I was surprised by his sacking and am far from convinced about Jones, BUT I just don't see this so-called upward trajectory we were on. FFS we had our worst ever loss to the Pumas, our first ever loss to Italy, and that's an upward trajectory...

Lat year Gamble played several games at 6. He is certainly small for that spot, but can do so for the last 20 minutes if that's going to work better.

    Wallabies 2023

According to official stats, Gamble only 1cm taller and 3kg heavier than McReight, both bigger than Hooper! Hooper 182cm, 101kg, McReight 184cm, 102kg, Gamble 185cm, 105kg.

    2022 GAGR POTY

You gotta love the fact that four of our top six, Valetini, Ikatau, Frost and Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) are all under 25!

    Wallabies 2023

Assuming HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) isn't ready at the start of the season, Holtz will start at THP for the Tahs. Holtz is a massive body, and still very young. If he can continue to develop, it may become tough for HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) to win the starting THP role at the Tahs.

It will be interesting to see how the next season pans out. There is no Guarantee Cooper will be fit for WC, we can only hope. Imo in Lolesio, Donaldson and Edmed we have three 10's with potential but not really test 10's yet, but we hope for one of them to take the next step up next season...

Interestingly, I'm still not convinced that Donaldson is the best 10 at the Tahs. Next year's Super season will be interesting, particularly if Harrison can remain injury free.

Will Holloway play 6 in front of a fit Swinton? May be forced to lock.

I'll back this team against whatever we put on the paddock: 1. Bell 2. Porecki 3. TT 4. Rhoda 5. Skelton 6. Leota 7. Hooper 8. Valetini 9. White 10. Cooper 11. Kellaway 12. Kerevi 13. Perese 14. MK 15. Banks

Because I want to keep Ikatau at 13, I don't see Petaia playing 12 so that has to be Hodge. The alternative would be to start Petaia on the wing and move Wright to the bench, I'd be fine with that.
