Wallabies v Wales, Principality Stadium, Sun 27th November, 2.15am AEST

I agree with Joe Blow, would start Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) and Wright on the wings with Campbell at 15, Gordon, Donaldson and Petaia on the bench, same forwards as Le Cheese but leave out Gleeson for the 5/3 bench

Wallabies v Ireland, Sun 20th Nov 7am AEDT

Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) had a real weakness in defence, which he has worked hard at and improved immeasurably. I have a lot of time for any player who is prepared to put the work in around their weaknesses. His other issue is ball security, and I think he still has a little way to go with that. His natural...

    Waratahs 2023

Disagree qwerty, I thought Newsome had an excellent season.

    Waratahs 2023

For some reason, I guess coaching style and personality, Coleman seems to have many of the same players performing a lot better than Gibson or Penney did. You look at some (at the time) less lauded players like HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes), Sinclair, Foketi and Newsome, who many on here would have liked to see cut from...

    Waratahs 2023

I think Nadolo will be a last 20 minute impact player, I expect Pietsch to start. Lock and 6 & 8 will be interesting. Seu may really push for a starting spot, he's a lot bigger than Hanigan or Holloway. That means you will have Hanigan, Swinton, Gamble and Gleeson all competing for 6 and 8, with...

    Wallabies 2023

Yes, and the lazy offside. Half the offside penalties come because a player hasn't made the effort to get back. You don't need a referee's badge to see where the last feet are, or to make the effort to join the ruck/maul from the back rather than the side.

Real world is Rennie won't be replaced before the WC, and if he was no self-respecting coach would take on the job this close to the big dance. I'm not sure what can be done by any coach to stop the players being so stupid. There's an article today by Sterling Mortlock lamenting the fact that we...

Not a Kuenzle fan, my choice would probably be Stewart but Henry may have more potential.

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

I think Porecki is adequate at 2, but certainly 10, 12 and 15, I would also argue 6, 9 and 11 are problems!

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

While not disputing a lot of the selection issues, where are our world class (tier 1 ) players? Certainly Valetini, Ikatau perhaps growing towards that level, Hooper and Slipper, but both past their very best. That's realistically about it. Perhaps MK when he's available to us.

SMI, I'm sure your last sentence in bold is meant to be sarcastic, but it's probably the reality until after the WC next year.

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

The point I'm trying to make is that since the golden era of McQueen/Eales, we have had a succession of well credentialled coaches and through all that a steady decline in the performances of the Wallabies. Now I'm not suggesting Rennie is the world's greatest coach, and maybe we can do better...

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

Yep Derpus, accountability, so let's sack the coach. I mean, that's worked so well in the past!

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

So once again it's all the coaches fault! Look, I'm not saying that Rennie's the messiah, but we keep burning coach after coach, all who seem to go pretty damn well anywhere else, when they fail to get this Wallaby side to perform. I don't suppose, just perhaps, it could have something to do...

BH, Hanigan has always had a high workrate, but will be particularly busy at 6 and 19!

Don't think Pietsch is with the squad BR

Wallabies v France, Paris, Sun 6th Nov 7am AEDT

I think that's the best side we could have put on the park. Probably would have a different bench, while I don't think Gordon has done anything wrong, I really like Tate's energy off the bench. I would also have Noah in place of Paisami, having Hodge on the bench allows you to pick a specialist...
  18. Froggy

Wallabies v Scotland, Murrayfield, Sun 30th Oct, 3.30am AEDT

I think you play Hodge on the bench, that gives you injury cover for every position from 10 to 15, allowing you lots of choice for your other bench back. It allows you to pick Lolesio if you want to give him more game time at 10, or Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) to try him for impact in the last 20, etc. It just...

    Wallabies 2023

PhilClinton I broadly agree regarding Cheika, and I was among those who thought he stayed too long. Having said that, he was still having the odd good result. What I will say is that, with two Shute Shield premierships with Randwick, taking Leinster from relegation to European Cup champions...

    Wallabies 2023

Sadly, continuing the revolving door of coaches will solve nothing. The reality is Jones, Deans, McKenzie, Cheika and now Rennie have all come to the Wallabies with impeccable coaching records, and in the case of Jones and Cheika have gone on to success afterwards. As we continue to slide down...
