Pretty much on board with you there BR, with the only change I would probably start Gordon at 9 with White on the bench. I would also consider bringing Bell onto the bench. Sio has done absolutely nothing wrong, I am just inclined to think Bell's stronger running game might be a positive late in...

Bledisloe 2. Eden Park, 24th Sept 7.05pm NZT. 5.05 pm AEST, 3.05 WA

Holloway earned his start, had a great Super season, but I don't think he's made the step up to test level. I would like to see Neville and Phillip start in the row, with Frost on the bench and Wilson at 6. I would also have McReight as the backrow cover. If we lose Wilson or Valetini early, we...

I'm pretty happy with all of that except 9. I though Gordon was mostly pretty good on Thursday, would leave him at 9 and White on the bench. I would have AAA as captain.

GAGR Wallaby POTY v New Zealand (1st test)

Sorry Reg, I was just too thick to notice. Fixed now :)

GAGR Wallaby POTY v New Zealand (1st test)

As to your question of me Reg, imo Foley had a fairly forgetable 1st half, but in the 2nd half I thought he took control of the game (something we've been wanting a 10 to do) and was one of the principal reasons we got back into the game. Just my opinion, all the Foley haters will certainly...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

Great game, destroyed at the finish by the ref. I really try to avoid bagging the ref, but I watched my first rugby international at the Sydney Sports Ground in 1967 (NSW v Ireland), have missed very few since, and I have NEVER seen that. As for the muppets who say it's time refs acted against...

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

Nomad, fully agree. I personally would have sent him back to club footy after the dive, that's a culture thing and it just goes against everything rugby stands for, but that's just me and I know no-one will agree (alternatively he could go to the A-League) But apart from that, all the box kicks...

Wallabies v Springboks II, Allianz Stadium 7:35pm 03/09/22

I would start Porecki, Kellaway and Swain, Arnold, FF (Folau Fainga'a) and Wright to the bench. If Ikatau is out, Paisami to 13 and Foketi to 12. I think TT stays due to a lack of a suitable alternative, Bell to replace Sio, he's more dynamic, could be very useful in the closing stages. I don't accept his...

Line-out throws and penalties, FF (Folau Fainga'a)'s negatives outweigh his positives

Sorry, but that's a disgrace by White, I know it won't happen, but I'd drop him for that. That's soccer, we don't need that in our game

Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

Campbell is a fullback, for a start. He was also, imo, the form fullback of Super rugby. There have been any number of international back three players his size and smaller, quite simply, if he's good enough he's big enough. It intrigues me that players seem to be declared either 'a natural...

    Wallabies 2023

I disagree Harrison has actually slipped down the pecking order, he's just been off the radar because he spent most of 2022 injured. I've said it before, but those singing the praises of Carter Gordon have obviously seen a lot more of him than me, but all I've seen one really good game with the...

    Wallabies 2023

Looking to our immediate choice of 10's, while I don't think Lolesio has been poor, at this particular stage in his career I don't think he's offering more than Hodge. If you are getting the same basics from each of them, and Hodge is a stronger defender and has a bigger boot, Hodge would be my...
