    Wallabies 2023

I just think this concept of everything revolving around the WC in a four year cycle is bullshit. It basically means nothing really matters until then, and if you had a bad WC the whole four years is wasted. As far as I'm concerned, particularly as an ex player who never earned one, the Wallaby...

    Wallabies 2023

Some people here have an illusion of Australian rugby based purely on the period 1998 to 2001. That is the outlier, not the current time. For most of my life (67 years) we have probably been between about 4 and 8 in the world. I, like everyone else here, would love to see us climb back to the...

    Rugby Scrums

I am a fan of scrums, but two problems. Endless re-sets, and the inability of refs to see who is at fault when they go down. We need refs to be better educated on the mysteries of the front row (particularly AR's, as they are often making the call) and they have to understand that if one side...

And for a long time, with HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) at 26 the oldest!

I think Kellaway was pretty much always a fullback at school and U20's level. It was really only at Super rugby level that he switched to wing, and even then played some fullback at the Tahs.

You seem to have a problem with Gordon stillmissit, and while I really like McDermott's attacking flair (and as a result would probably pick him as my bench 9) as a 10 I would far rather be standing outside Gordon, where you know your going to get a good pass.

I think people are underestimating Harrison just because they haven't seen much of him this year. Personally I lean a little towards Donaldson as our best 10, but at full fitness I think Harrison is ahead of Edmed, and will also keep Beale on his toes for 15.

Come 2023 I think the bloke pushing for a spot behind McReight will be Charlie Gamble. I believe he becomes available April next year.

I'm seeing him as bench cover only, however if Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) gets the 15 gig that may change.

For mine Lolesio and Donaldson are the obvious choices, but 2023 Super season could see any of Edmed, Harrison, Pasitoa or Gordon step up, but I don't see Jack being the one. I have yet to see what Gordon has that puts him in front of the others, however there are people here who have seen a lot...

For mine AAA would be my pick, with a couple of VC's for when he comes off, one back one forward. That depends who's selected, I if JOC (James O'Connor) is there he would be one, if not possibly White, McReight in the forwards while Hooper is absent.

You wonder how long Hooper has battled with this, and makes some sense of the sabbatical in Japan and stepping away from the Waratahs captaincy. There is no doubt this guy gives his heart and soul to rugby, and it probably pretty much defines him. He has been under fairly intense scrutiny and...

Have they improved the facilities (bar, food, toilets) as they were the real weakness in the old stadium.

    Wallabies 2023

Interestingly, Paisami seems the favourite for 12, who has played 13 all season outside Stewart, whereas both Simone and Foketi played 12 and had excellent seasons. 2022 has been the best season I've seen Simone play, and I think he was unlucky to miss the squad initially and agree with some, I...

So who's available for this match? I assume Bell, Sio, Neville, Kerevi, Perese and Banks are out. Also assuming that Swain and Petaia are available. What's the status of Holloway, Cooper and Kellaway?

Might have been me! Green is green, yellow is yellow, put the fucking thing on and get out there. Anyone who's seen me would be aware fashion isn't my strength!!

I can't see how Latu is an upgrade on Porecki, currently the best hooker in the country. Horton maybe, but then Vailanu is also an upgrade on Horton. I've said it before, but Latu would benefit from staying out of high profile sport and getting some help to sort his personal issues.

    Waratahs 2023

Backrow is looking crowded, Hooper, Gamble, Swinton, Gleeson, Harris, Warren-Vosayaco. That's excluding Holloway, Hanigan and Sinclair who are all lock/6 types.
