    2012 IRB Sevens - Gold Coast 7's - 13/14 October

    Looked like a knee.

All Blacks sponsored by the US taxpayer.

I've heard that the All Blacks are the 5th most recognisable sporting brand in the globe and the most succesful sporting franchise ever. Given that rugby is an Olympic sport in 2015, seems like an astute sponsorship deal for AIG. And given that sponsorship is an integral part of modern day...

Agreed. He should be hooked for the next game as a bit of a lesson.

I think Easts will have a cracker of a side next year with the likes of Bertini, Toua, Faulkner and Quirk returning from injury and adding depth to an already strong squad.

    Nic Berry forced into retirement

That is sad to hear for the young bloke. Academic now, but would've been a great halfback option in Genia's absence at the start of the Reds season.

    Reds 2013

Only 29 players on the website, so maybe one player to be officially announced....a prop maybe? Have heard the EPS is also selected, but has it been announced anywhere?

Quade telling it how it is

    What an excellent post.....

make no mistake, Genia will be a loss for the games that he misses, and who is to know how he will bounce back from injury. Personally, I think Benny Lucas will step up as the first choice 9 at the start of the season, and do a great job. Frisby is definitely more than capable but another year...

    Unsigned Club Players XV

So, I'm thinking ex- Easts boy Ben Mowen, although you could hardly offer him a rookie contract, so maybe not, and he is the Brumbies skipper. Pity, he'd be a great addition.

    Reds 2013

Well done to Slipper. This new trophy joins the one he picked up as U20 player of the year a couple of years back. Hopefully national selectors are taking note.....

Good luck to the Tigers today! Massive challenge playing Uni today but not an impossible one.

Samo in and Shipperly not is somewhat strange.

    Reds 2013

Season is over, and this supporter gives the Reds a big tick. Top Aussie side for the second year running. Be good to see a couple of the young guns like Schatz and Gill get rewarded with Wallaby gigs. Now we can look forward to 2013. Anyone with an idea of the roster as it looks so far? I'm...

Went down to Crosby Park yesterday and couldn't believe it when the ref handed Norths three yellow cards in quick succession. Talk about a potential match killer! As it turns out it only galvanised Norths who put on a remarkable defensive display to record a stunning victory. I doubt that the...

    QF1 2012 - Reds vs Sharks

Haven't read any comments but may I just say well done to the Sharks. They beat my favourite team fairly and squarely and I would love to see them go all the way. As for the Reds......pretty much the same team next year with a few young guns to come back from injury. They will feature again...

2008. A very young Easts side over the Filth by a point.

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

Happy Days! Agree with others who say it wasn't the most polished performance from the Reds but the intent and belief was there in spades. I never felt at any time that the game was going to be lost. Have to say that the Tah's looked really underwhelming, don't know what it is about them this...

    Brumbies v Blues Round 18

A disappointing end to the season for the Brumbies but hell, what a good season it was! I really didn't rate them after seeing them in the Cairns trial at the start of the year but they really stood up as a unit. Jake White is obviously an excellent coach and I've been impressed by Mowen as a...

Comforting to know that Brandon is not sidelined but Easts really do have to develop a Plan B in case he does spend any time on the sideline. Brothers are now in a position where they have to develop thier Plan B, it will be interesting to see how they cope without Dallan Murphy. Big shame for...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Sounds like Easts dodged a bullet. UJ is still only a year ut of school so maybe all the responsibility of 10, is a little too much too early. A couple of games on the wing could be the go and get a more seasoned player like Mullins or Krelle to play at flyhalf.
