    The Ideal NSW Schools Comp

Seems like a great idea (better then the present set up), but these are some points I would raise: - due to cost restrictions, I believe, it would need to be Sydney (possibly some close to Sydney regions) based. - the greater majority of CCC schools in the Metro area (MCS & MCC) are league...

Congratulations to Tepai. I wonder if he has committed to Rugby for the forseeable future.

Yeah whateva. I don't intend to read every post for you, so I suggest you go back about 12 pages and read the various posts; but note this, I'm not talking about you, therefore you can stop looking over your shoulder.

Maybe cost was a factor? Or like in my case the local Catholic School only went to 4th form.. Very Cynical Whatever. I know one of the aforementioneds father had a major job transfer that moved them to Sydney Wasn't being cynical???? The only boys listed to arrive at Joeys after year 7 were...

The point is many bloggers are saying sports scholarships don't exist, where it quite obvious that they do. It is like denying the earth is round and the earth doesn't rotate around the sun or evolution is anti-god. When people say well here is proof, certain people then go; that is not fair or...

Also with Josh Schwager out due to injury year 7 And O'Donahue came in Year 11 as a full payer due to 3 or 4 generations on his Mothers side. I think we all look forward to the answers. Could almost suggest there are no scholarship holders in Joeys. Only, Bartlett, Robertson and Sandell...

That is fine HJ, if only certain bloggers on here didn't swear, on whatever holy book they believe in, that sports scholarships don't exist at their GPS school. I put forward two Newington students with a please explain and a certain "rugbygirl" totally ignored that and suggested that no names...

Some good points Fred. Unfortunately, in the land of Oz rugby union is the secondary code with league being the dominant code in State and Catholic High Schools which would make up about 80% plus of the school student population in NSW and Qld. Also, as you can read on other posts...

Definitely would have accepted on behalf of my boys. I fall into 4,5 and 6. Truthfully, the current GPS competition is a joke and based on point 6 -egos; just be honest and upfront about it.

I don't wish to be rude, madam but can you not read, I have named students and others on here have but you continually ignore or overlook. Are the students from Newington, named on here, on scholarships?

You might do better if you read the posts (ref: 836); names have been named and this is only a few.

That is 10% of their junior (Harold Matts, SG Ball and Toyota Cup) rep cap, I personally find that hard to believe.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

They are on junior contracts with their league football clubs (easts and parramatta); therefore around 5k plus bonus regarding State and National rep football. There is no way Easts or Parramatta are paying their fees at Newington. They are on school scholarships, there is no agrument on that...

Souths definitely used Marist Pagewood in the past but I have been out of contact over the last few years to know if that is still the case.

There is a Tyke league school (Marist Brothers) over there, I'm sure Souths and Easts use.

C'mon HJ and pigs might fly. He is contracted (junior contract) to the Roosters and if they had a say he would be at a league associated school. Tepai is contracted (junior) to Parramatta and if they had a say he would still be at Patrician Brothers Blacktown (the Newington of the league schools).
