    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I would suggest starting with TT and Bell as the Pumas scrum looked vulnerable in the last test. If we can get on top there and play to the corners it will help our cause no end. I would go Bell Fez TT Frost LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) Valetini Tizzano Wilson Bench BPA AAA Slipper Williams Gleeson

Sounds like Lolesio will be there with Gordon if they intend to keep on kicking. Lenny I. and Flook might be a good combination for the kick chase?

    Argentina v Australia, 8am Sunday 1 Sep (AEST) - TRC Round 3

I think they will go with Stewart. He has a good rugby brain and is solid in defense. Also has a decent educated boot, which will come in handy if our scrum goes well. Tupou to start.

We just need to keep him and make him our high performance dude, whatever it takes.

Nucifora could have been a really important part of the puzzle in reviving Oz rugby. However, if they still do not want to listen to what he has to say, as before he went to Ireland, well……..it will likely continue on the same way.

I don’t think we need Leon, or at least JS has his group of coaches and there is not a vacancy. We don’t need to jump on it just because the current AB coaching setup do not want him.

They are good but certainly not on the level of the Boks. Maybe somewhere in between them and Wales. Hopefully JS will let them play a more expansive game. If we can notch a win or two it would be great. Either way, once again looking for measurable improvement.

It looked as though JS went into the Bok tests with a very conservative and simple game plan trying to build the base. They stuck to it for both games. There will likely be more opportunity to open up and attack in these two upcoming games.

Problem is that Lolesio was a deer in the headlights under pressure in those SA tests, particularly the first, so we were unable to implement our game plan on the rare occasions we had the pill. Nothing kicks and late passes to those in a worse position than himself. We need a quick thinking 10...

Lynagh has shown in Super Rugby this year that he has good structure to his game and good instincts. He knows when to pass and when to kick and invariably turns up in the right place at the right time in defence. He also has a decent boot and reads the play well or has good rugby IQ. I’m not sure where...

Stewart is a second 5/8 type player. Could take the pressure off Lolesio a little. Has a decent boot and defends well. Likely it will be him?

You sound like someone in the know? He has always stood up technically at scrum time and has been busy at the coalface. I presume JS and Mike Cron feel the same way. Angus Bell started after not having played for anybody for how many months?

    Wallabies 2024

I think we start with Bell and TT to give us a chance of getting on top in the scrums and the tight. This is not the Boks with a crazy bomb squad and we should put our best on the park at the start.

    Wallabies 2024

Robertson is a decent test prop. He will not set the world on fire but will hold his own at scrum time. He is also good in the tight. Very busy.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

They decided all of a sudden that passing the ball in torrential rain was a good idea, and we had our hands on the ball a lot more in game 2.

Damn. He should have been in the squad from the get go. Hope he heals quickly.

    Wallabies 2024

It’s Bayley Kuenzle time. Big lad and he played 12 at the Brumbies. Has a decent boot and speed to burn as well. He is 26 so right to grow with this team.

    Wallabies 2024

Add in for this squad Tupou, Swain, McReight and Wright(if fit), BPA, Petaia(if on board), Leota and maybe another 12?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I think he is trying to get them to minimise errors and play a very simple game plan. When they get there he will add layers in, as he has said a few times. I’m guessing he was expecting to lose these two games and he may have been minimising the damage? In Argentina it’s more likely we will be...

    Wallabies 2024

There are only two Boks playing in France, a few in the UK and the rest of OS players in Japan. When SA ditched the 30 cap requirement they made it clear to all OS unions that their players priority was playing for the Boks if selected and that their playing schedules with their OS clubs may be...
