    Wallabies 2024

I just read it. “Insiders”? I hope he comes as it will give Schmidt another piece to the puzzle. He is really making a decision on playing against the Lions and in the next RWC. He has re-signed in France for 4 more years so he will be playing at a high level through that timeline. If not then...

    Wallabies 2024

And thats been his problem since going OS. He has been a reluctant Wallaby on the rare occasions he has agreed to join. Then Jones goes and makes him captain. What sort of message does that send to young players who aspire to play at the highest level in Australia? An EJ (Eddie Jones) special. If he's not...

    Wallabies 2024

When are we likely to have a squad named for the RC? add Skelton, Koriebete, BPA and Toole. Consider Kerevi if he is in good form and still up to it. Anyone else? Who is removed from the current mob?

Hasn’t he been suspended or red carded for a similar contact previously? It was unfortunate but he was leading with his knee at head height. He was very late. TBF he was showing the same sort of eagerness up until that point in this game as well. He is playing very well.

Except the Georgian 10. He had a great boot except that last one.

It was fair. He led with the knee and collected his head. Stupid play from FD.

    Reds v Wales, Suncorp Stadium - 19/7

    Did Mason Gordon get on?

I think he wants Wright as the long term Captain? I agree that the next cab off the rank is Frasier McReight. He captained the U20s and is also a natural leader. There is a a decent leadership group and it’s good if anyone can take the reins when called on. I imagine it will be clearer when the...

I think Gordon has solidified himself as first choice for now. Good to give Tate and Nic White some game time. I also hear Wilson is to play in the back row with Valetini and McReight. That should be interesting and give us a powerful pack to counter the Georgians.

I like Leota. He is big and strong but in the past he has been a bit loose in the carry. He is a good lineout target and can make do in the second row if need be. It really depends on what Schmidt is looking for. Since he picked Wright at 6 initially ahead of some more robust options it may not...

Leota has the muscle and has much more than 5kgs on CC. But Cale has the hands, the speed, the lineout prowess and the accuracy. Having the power is not the be all and end all, especially at test level.

I don’t think Leota or Canham are in the squad?

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Good question. Most of us agree that it’s very early days for Lynagh. However he was Schmidt's choice to back up Lolesio in the first test. Maybe Donaldson is the answer? If none of the three 10s in the squad are suitable he can only look to Japan. I am sure he does not want to do that. He can...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Very good…. He has mentioned him, his courage and the attributes of his game often in his press conferences and Lolesio has not been setting the world on fire. That makes one think he will lean towards Lynagh if neither Donaldson or Lolesio stand up. Alternatively he may pull in one of the old...

    Wallabies v Georgia 20 July - Allianz Stadium 3.45PM

Watching Georgia against Japan confirms the Georgians are typically robust in the forwards. Most of them play in France. Japan had a red card in the first half(that stood for the whole game) and at the end of the game were down to 13 players for the last 10 mins with another yellow. We should...

White is more similar to Gordon. Tate gives more impact off the bench and changes up our game. I think we are going to see Tate and Lynagh starting this one. JS has real soft spot for Lynagh and I reckon he is going to fast track him.

No chance. McReight close to MOTM again.

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

It was pissing down rain for most of the night so hard to be very expansive. Donaldsons long boot would have kept us down their end most of the night. I reckon he and Lynagh moving forward but Schmidt might bring one of the old blokes from Japan into camp to guide them for the RC. Lolesios pass...

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

Maybe I misunderstood. Of course the Rebels was a failed venture but I think if it was setup differently and run properly by the right people from the start it could have been successful, financially and otherwise. I wholeheartedly agree that it needed to be dissolved now but it should never...
