    Wallabies 2024

The scrum is an 8 man deal. Not all the blame can be laid at the feet of one prop. I reckon Cron will turn them around for next week to at least hold our own. TT and Bell make a huge difference but we need a serviceable bench front row To back them up in case of injury. What has happened to...

Yes, but if there is a weakness on the other side it enables the TH to get worked, or visa versa. AAA and Slipper know each other and the opposition pretty well. Kailea looks an excellent prospect but he has very little experience, none against a front row like theirs.

    Wallabies 2024

I think he should have started Slipper and AAA. It was a big ask for Kailea. He is strong and enthusiastic but is very inexperienced for a test prop, same with Nongoor. Ideally we would have TT and Bell in the mix as well as Fa’amausuli and Schoup. Once again our depth is severely tested and...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

Our forwards got smashed at the set piece and at the ruck. It looks as though Frost and Williams will not be available so we need to muscle up. Tizzano may get further opportunities to start but I think he and Reimer are better suited to coming off the bench. Joe likes to have a fetcher in there...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

I think muscle up at 7 early with Uru and bring on a fetcher later in the game unless Wright is good to go. I would start AAA and Slipper as they have the most experience and likely can at least hold the scrum long enough to get the ball in and out. We need one or two changes at 9/10 to give us...

Planning on bringing back Michael Hooper?

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 17th August 2024 Perth

He is decent over the ball, is a lineout target and is very busy. He has a lot of involvements both sides of the ball. Tizzano struggled to get into the game until it opened up a bit late. Better to have he or Reimer on the bench.

Kolisi is not a fetcher. They don’t really have one. We could use the added weight from having Uru or even Hooper. Hooper is more of a 5 though. Maybe “is a good match” is not good terminology. He might just be a better fit for us at the start as opposed to a little fella.

I would start Uru at 7. Kolisi is essentially their open side. Uru is a good match

    Wallabies 2024

It’s actually not a bad plan. We cannot beat these Boks next week, that much is evident. Send out our best team from this current squad not including those coming back from injury next week and look for a better, more competitive performance before rolling out the big guns in Argentina and build...

I saw that too. We were penalised a couple of times when AAA popped up, once after the ball had left. Marx did pop up a few times but they were dominate and moving forward?

But, we got dished up at the coal face. There is no way around that. As said, we were going backwards and under pressure. Hopefully we can change it around a bit for next week and muscle up.

Yes. We panicked I think. We probably would have been better served to just slow it down and let the numbers work.

No, maybe not but commentating on the game as you watch the replay when the rest of the pack are several hours beyond is just self absorbed and annoying for everyone else. Save it for watching it live or wait until you have seen the game in replay.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

We didn’t throw a punch. Even when 2 men up we did not have the capacity to slow down and take advantage. This will be a learning experience in the long rebuilding process. The Boks were relentless and it was like a training run for them. Rassie trying some new ideas throughout. We need to hold...

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

I think our expectations for this game should be realistic. We are missing some key players from what would be our best side. TT, Bell, McReight, Skelton, Wright and an inform/shape Koreibete. In order to match and even think about beating this Bok side you need to take them on up front. That is...

And the most likely to give up easy possession, miss a kick etc etc.

I like Donaldsons speed and his ability to distribute but this is not the place to find consistency. That should be done at Super Rugby level. He was inconsistent this year at the Force. Had some good games and some bad ones. Noah was solid for the most part. It’s another sink or swim scenario for...
