That's rubbish....
Beale has been praised as one of the worlds best fullbacks, JOC (James O'Connor) has been recognized as a future Wallaby 12..
Just because both those players are both talented enough to play 5/8 doesnt mean that the Rebels are intending on playing them there.

By your assessment the Force are warehousing by having McCalman, Pocock, Hodgson and Brown all signed...
cant you read? the players have the ambition

A press release distributed by the Force about Willie Ripia (sent on behalf of Inside Running - Elite Management):

"This press release is being made following recent media enquiries surrounding Willie Ripia’s resignation from the Western Force.

Willie has returned to New Zealand to be supported by his family in Rotorua as he works through serious issues relating to gambling.

Willie will be in a supportive family environment while he engages professional support to help him address his gambling problem.

Willie is devastated with the impact gambling has had on him and is determined to work through his problem. He is deeply remorseful for his actions and the damage and disruption they have had on those close to him and the Western Force.

We would appreciate Willie and his family being given the necessary space and privacy to address and confront the matter."

who says the have the genuine ambition.... how much of it is just PR talk driven by there employers intent??

JOC (James O'Connor) gets thrown into the 5/8 position at the Western Force because of a lack of alternatives... What he supposed to say... No, i didnt want that..
By every account prior to that happening, he was said to be looking forward to having a quality 5/8 to play outside of.

That is a class press release from the Force. Let's hope Willy can overcome his demons and congratulations to the Force for showing such compassion rather than kicking a bloke when he is down.

Both JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale want the 10 jersey. Beale doesn't want to be fullback dispute his ability there. But I don't think the rebels are stockpiling due to there ability to play other positions.

If Beale dosent want to play full back why move to a team that has an established 5/8 with a couple of years left on his contract why not move to the Brumbies or Force who dont have huge options there?

Not a whole lot of privacy extended in the very detailed interview which coach Richard Graham had with Wayne Smith of The Australian.(http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...tern-force-ranks/story-e6frg7o6-1226242095430 )

Forget Beale or O'Connor. The Force want James Hilgendorf back. And ideally uninjured. Or maybe Julian Huxley.

Sure, if you want the Force to be guaranteed a bottom place finish.

Haven't they suffered enough, the poor petals?

Disapointing in the extreme and leave the Force looking very thin at 10. Stannard IMO deserved first start at 10 because of his performances last year, but Ripia provided depth and a genuine second option. A great pity.

Im still not convinced of JOC (James O'Connor)'s intent to play 5/8... he did after all sign with the Rebels knowing that Cipriani and KB (Kurtley Beale) were already their.
No doubt he wants to get involved more in general play, but by all accounts he is equally as interested in playing at inside centre.

This was from Damian Hill in November...

"James, on the other hand, is Mr Versatility. He can play anywhere from 10 out.
"He has expressed a preference to play 12 nationally as well as provincially. If we can accommodate that and it is in the best interests of the team, we will.

I know Beale for sure wants ten. I can take from that quote "nationally" that points out he wants to play along side his mate quade not in place of him. Take quade out and I'm pretty certain JOCs hand would go up pretty smartly.

Why didn't he play there on the eoyt?

ugh maybe because a players "ambition" doesn't necessarily suit the teams requirements...

You think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) likes been shunted around the backline?
Im sure he would like to settle on one position and become a expert at it, but his needs and the teams needs don't always work hand in hand.
