Don't think the Rona experiment was a success. I'd go with Hodge and a specialist winger on the bench.

Edit: when are the teams being announced?

As my league converts go, I prefer Korbobeite over Rona. He has a higher ceiling, but doubt he will start given lack of team cohesion and all that jazz.

Timani is so consistently underwhelming. Everything he has over Hanigan in size and power he lacks in heart and mongrel.

We need to somehow combine them into one player.

if its the same Timani that played for the Rising last w/end when Cheika was there watching I doubt he will make the bench(probably will though)

are they still trying to do that 2 fullback tactic? could drop Beale back to wing/fullback and bring in Meakes.
BTW and Korobete for Speight

Bledisloe 1 had Rona, Kerevi and Speight at 11,13 and 14 respectively. On the bench covering them were Hodge and TK. DHP wasn't considered because of his bicep injury.

Bledisloe 2 Kerevi got banished and DHP was healthy again. So it was Speight, TK and DHP at 11,13 and 14. With Rona demoted to the bench still with Hodge there.

So now we have DHP out again, presumably Kerevi is still on the outer, so he won't come onto the bench. You'd imagine that Rona will come into the starting side. Hodge will stay as super sub and Koroibete will start from the bench.

fox have already named the Brisbane City team for their NRC game against QLD Country, Kerevi not named in the 23, which is usually a sign that the player was called up by Cheika, same for Koroibete, not named by Rising for their match against Drua, i won't be surprised if Hodge is dropped and Kerevi and Koroibete take Jersey 22/23 OR Hodge could take Jersey 15 moving Folau to wing partnering either Speight or Rona (Rona wasn't really good in his last test)

Dropping Hodge for Kerevi, who is in worse form, worse fitness and is less versatile sure would be surprising.

Maybe Brisbane dropped him...

lol yea one wishes, may be in the training group right now, teams will be named in 25 minutes. I really can't see Rona starting in this game but i do see Marika getting a nod ahead of Rona. Boks play with pace, he could be an asset

I think you will find that which players are available for NRC won't have much to do with who is in 23, more just covering all bases, and some might be getting ready for next game against Argies?

Well this certainly paints the set piece from the Deans / McKenzie era's in a way that I don't remember it.

I've been complaining about the Australian lineout for most of my life.

Under Ewen McKenzie, our lineout success rate was was 91%. Short lived period, but one where it was literally our strongest facet of play.

Obviously our scrum was a work in progress back then.

Unfortunately, I see our scrum getting decimated this weekend. The Saffa's are on another level.

Samu back in Gold lol, personally, Samu off the bench in the last 20 will be really good, good team except 6 and 21, we need Timani and Powell

All pretty spot on but Dempsey....dunno how he's earnt the bench spot. Maybe NRC?

Uelese must be unreal in training to get the pick over Latu.
