Well, bearing in mind I am:-
1. Pissed
2. On holiday (did I mention I was pissed?)
3. Lacking the insight that the live call would have given me

I would say - big ups to the pack in the scrum, take off a discount for the lack of counter-rucking, minus the headless chook attacking play at times, take into account the poor tactical kicking and we would have, as expected, a scrappy, unconvincing win over a pretty bog ordinary Ireland team who looked like scoring a try in 2015 or thereabouts.
I think the word is "Meh".

What a bloody scrappy game. Can Burgess learn how to pass without running laterally first? He does some good things like the freakish intercept try, but why cant he do the basics and just pass the bloody ball QUICKLY!. Every player needs to improve, except pocock and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) who were the only good players. Cooper always great in attack But I think one of the worst defensive efforts by him I have seen (yeh i know their all bad, But tonight I think the Irish targeted him and it worked), I think he should be our long-term fly-half so some-ones got to eventually teach him how to bloody tackle (low and hard, stop going for the ball). Forwards... wtf, why cant we have good forwards? We need muscle! TPN, PALU, Robinson, Higgers HURRY THE FUCK UP!

Backline lacks maturity, Players doing good things and then overplaying their hand eg, JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale. Forwards Lack Aggression. God save us for the Tri-nations.

Forgot to add, if not already noted, Bryce Lawrence is a gormless fool of the highest order.
A tip, Mr Lawrence...NO-ONE CAME TO SEE OR HEAR YOU TONIGHT YOU MUPPET!!!

Forgot to add that also...I 100% agree! That referee ruined that game, Blew that fucking whistle for every little thing for both teams.

I am also fully aware that the Wallabies will probably win this game easily and look like gods; they play well at Suncorp. And I also fully expect the Deans brigade to come out in full force and sing his praises, never mind the fact that this Irish team is old, rubbish and coming off a 50point thrashing by the All Blacks.

Reddy!, with your talent for rudeness, you should try a stint on Planet Rugby. :p

I did think we were having a discussion.

Prefer an ugly win over a pretty loss any day but thank the gods of Rugby that Robinson, Moore, Kepu, Sharpe, Genia, Ioane, & Polota-Nau will all be fit for TriNations.

Compare and contrast (in my own mind):

- the joy I got from finding a lonely sports cafe early morning, London, April 2010, and watching the Reds beat the Bulls with dozens of fired up compatriots around me, pushed on by a dazzling, wonderful game full of confidence, guts, commitment, skill;

- the deadness, the disappointment, the sense of dread as to what lay ahead, as I sat inside Suncorp tonight and witnessed our national team falling apart, in team mind as much as in application....and worse was to come via the flatness, the awful quiet of the Oz fans as Ireland's fan's consistently exploded with motivation and loyalty. We are destroying these fans, and thus we are slowly destroying the viability of this game in Australia.

This was a dark night. Perhaps now it may begin to be recognised the many radical changes needed to the management of elite rugby/the Wallabies in this country if we are to regain pride and recover all that has been lost.

I'm still depressed - but carry on.

I am still pissed, but tomorrow I will be hungover, and Lee will still be depressed...and the Wallabies will still be rubbish. I'm unsure what to take out of all that.
Oh wait, it has hit me. FIRE UP, you limp, soft, flaccid puke-yellow hoaxes.
I am fully prepared now for a 3N reaming.

Robbie Deans now has to acknowledge that this team will not win him games against the All Blacks and the Springboks. The Inside Centre of Giteau has once again failed to impress and I honestly don't believe he will win us games. The wingers of Drew Mitchell and Kurtley Beale is not going to win us games.

I think Kurtley Beale is a great player, but he is not a very good decision maker in some situations.

Cyclopath - along with you, we have so many talented and passionate observers of our game here on GAGR, can we possibly tomorrow (or soon?) turn our attention to what must be done to properly fix this long-standing Wallabies debacle. I for one don't believe the answer lies in pep-talks with players, and Deans or someone else reading them the riot act (as he is conveniently leaking to the media that he will do). That may result in one 'up game', it will not result in dozens of up games. Much more is needed, and the changes need to be deeper, and the elite must suffer, not just the players, in the name of the game.

If there had been a complete collapse of player DNA and fortitude in Australian rugby, the Reds would not have been so brilliantly revived this year, and the Tahs would not have got to the S14 Finals. And we would not have the Coopers, Pococks, Gills, Genias, Robinsons (and so many others) playing wonderful, gutsy, aggressive rugby outside the Wallabies.

No, we cannot just keep flogging these players in our blogs and fora, many of their problems with the Wallabies are symptoms not causes. We need to start immediately confronting the way the Wallabies are managed, coached and led.

Good Point. We have enough talent, they just dont seem to be performing 100% every game.

I'm going with the positives.
There is a big positive - the Wallabies won. Maybe they could have won better, but I'll take the win. There are no bonus points for execution or tries scored in test match rugby.
Pocock and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) were both excellent.
The scrum didn't get reamed (that shouldn't be remarkable, but we all know it is) - Slipper is the better scrummager, but Daley is better in all other areas I think. I was impressed with Daley's general involvement.
Mumm played better this week.
Fainga'a was solid (esp lineout), if still a little light weight.
Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale all showed great skill at times, but also made some bad decisions (Beale and his grubber kick when he has been so strong and successful in contact of late), and of course Cooper's defence (aaarrrgghhhh!!!!).
Burgess ran hot and cold, and sometimes just tepid.

Size, strength and focussed aggression were sometimes lacking. Clean crisp execution and consistency were not evident....essentially, it sometimes seemed like tough old experienced heads were desperately needed - due to injuries and selection policy the Wallabies just don't have enough of it.

Can Burgess learn how to pass without running laterally first?

That had to be part of the game plan, we seem to be wanting Burgess to run larterally and put runners into holes, but we lacked runners and effort from the pigs. There was no effort to give Burgess options on the inside so the Irish had an easier than they should.

And he hasn't done it in any of the previous games. Definetely part of the game "plan".

You would think that Turner has to come in for Mitchell in the next game. Quite remarkable to see how Mitchell's great form in the S14 has evaporated whilst playing for the Wobblies. Tuner had a great game playing at OC for the Woodies yesterday.
