Sully, "Kiss seems good" is nothing more than a Reds fan's beat up at the moment. He certainly hasn't done anything at Super level yet to promote him as the best local candidate for the Wallabies. He just might do it this year with the help of a couple of redundant Rebels coming on board, buit I would expect any improvement to be more noticeable in the forwards than in the backs. But the forwards are not the Reds' issue - they were strong there in 2024. The backs have a lot more questions to answer in my book.
A No 9 verging on brilliant in one aspect of halfback play but seripusly underperforming in his passing game. An unproven No 10 with little experience at Super level who by his own admission needs to improve his core kicking skills even though most Reds fans think that's where he excels. A No 12 who has question marks about his defencie skills and who tends to starve his outside backs of attacking ball. A promising No 13 who really has yet to prove himself at Super level. A tyro winger who could just be anything and I expect him to be a Wallaby this year. A discard (?) from the Rebels on the other wing. And a No 15 who is probably on the downhill slope. All in all, probably not one starter who is considered a lock-in for the Wallabies. If Kiss can meet the high expectations being thrown around by some on this site (and elsewhere) by making it through to the Super Rugby final (note, that making the semi-finals in three successive years is not regarded by some as being successful) then he will be in the mix for the next Wallaby coach appointment, but he has a mountain in front of him imo.
