Is it a 1v4, 2v3 finals set up or does it follow the major/minor structure of the higher divs?

Correct. So at the moment you'd see

Jeffrey
Major = Georges River (1) v Burraneer (2) - winner advances to Jeffrey GF. Loser plays winner of MinorSF
Minor = Manly Savers (3) v Oatley (4) - winner plays loser of MajorSF. Loser eliminated

Meldrum
Major = Blacktown (5) v North Cronulla (6) - winner advances to Meldrum GF. Loser plays winner of MinorSF
Minor = Maccabi (7) v Convicts (8) - winner plays loser of MajorSF. Loser eliminated

It will likely stay that way even if Oatley loose points for the forfeit as they play the bottom ranked St Ives and have more wins than Blacktown so will go ahead if they both finish on 40.

Joy Johnson Cup has 3 games Saturday to make up for wet weather.

UNSW (7) v Newport (5) - Newport have been a bit up and down this year with a 5-1-5 record (WDL) and travel could be a factor. UNSW have had a couple of big wins but mostly losses. Newport won the last encounter by 7 at Porters so I'll back them again.

Hunters Hill (4) v Hornsby (1) - the Hornsby girls have conceded only 24 points all year. Never more than 7 in a single match, and are currently enjoying a +613 For/Against while doing it. Hunters Hill were a benchmark side for womens but Central Coast clearly honed the talent the Nalas have. First clash between the two sides but you'd be mad to go past Hornsby.

Old Barker (9) v St Pats (6) - Pats will be looking to finish the year on a high, having had some good wins but some interesting losses as well - UNSW getting over them 33-5 last week as an example. Going the away side here.

Table order is therefore unlikely to change as they head into finals:

60 Hornsby
50 Irish
49 Lindfield
36 Hunters Hill

Finals will be held 10th August at Mittigar 1:15PM alongside the Div 4 finals (as Hornsby are in both Grose and McLean Cups I guess).

MajorSF = Hornsby v Irish
MinorSF = Lindfield v Hunters Hill

I think Hornsby are likely to go through while Irish could play either Lindfield or Hillies. Tough match to call as despite the points difference on the log, they're fairly even defensively.

Regardless, GF Day should see Hornsby crowned Joy Johnson champions.

That Hornsby Joy Johnson team is frightening. Well coached, well organised and defense is next level brutal.

Just the one game tomorrow with Waves and Colleagues putting on Double Points next week.

HH - Blue Mountains. A little wake up call last week against a strong Waverley outfit. This wont impact Blue Mountains minor Premiership tilt, although may go along way to deciding the top 2 race with Lindfield and Waverley on our heels. Do yourself a favour and get to Boronia Park tomorrow to watch a High quality game of football. HH to come out on top late. HH by 3

Div 2

What a weekend to finish the regular session!

Beecroft vs Petersham: Beecroft need a bonus point win to put themselves into contention. IF they achieve that they need St Pats and Briars to lose, Briars without a bonus point. Beecroft will look back on their season and rue losses against St Pats and Hills that they should have won. If they sneak through I think they will be a huge threat in the finals and could go all the way. Petersham playing for pride. My tip: Beecroft win with the bonus point.

Hills vs Briars
: Its simple, a must win for both sides. 2nd placed Hills and 4th placed Briars can find themselves gone from the finals with a loss.
For Hills a bonus point could be enough, but Briars need the win to move forward. Briars by 7

Newport vs St Pats:
Wow what a day awaits. The bar fridges are stacked full. Every game has finals implications with a busload full of St Pats boys looking to enjoy the atmosphere of a packed Porters & post game clubhouse action. Adding to the atmosphere will be 125 attendees for Newport's ladies day.
For Barraclough its simple, St Pats need to win and win with a bonus point to have any chance. In the lower grades two Minor Premierships will be decided and in the other two the make up of the major Semis. If you are anywhere near the northern beaches at all tomorrow get down for what will be one of subbies great days. Breakers by 5
