Brumby Runner. Like young Meredith playing 10 for Brums today v Tahs. Gee whiz. Noah will have to play well to keep the 10 jersey at the Brums, let alone the Wallabies!
Been saying it for 12 months, Yoda. It's a bit of a quandry, isn't it. Arguably, he is a more rounded No 10, with better skills in a number of areas, but Noah is the incumbent Wallaby No 10 with no standout from the other Franchises to put him under a lot pressure selection-wise.

I’m hoping Donaldson does that this year. Although, Meredith is very, very good.

Meredith looked great out there today. Not too sure about the fact that he keeps his headgear on whilst doing conversions, but thats a topic of discussion for another time. Can say I'm not too thrilled with the performance of the Tahs, 12 Wallabies and they couldn't get it done. Reimer once again proved that he should be starting #7 for the Brumbies and potentially the #20 for the Wallabies.

Yes - Reimer won the #7 battle today, hands down.

Reimer is the best pure on ball 7 in the country. Rory Scott was good though and offers a bit more around the field. Reimer is such a weapon at locking a game down in the last 20.

Anyone who thought the Tahs by 40 needs their head read. Feels more like the Brums loyalty needing the chip.

Was good to see Kailea giving Van Nek some grief at the end there. Kailea looked leaner/fitter.

Both would be happy for the hit out. Lots of errors through the backlines though. Happens with changes and positional trialing.

I think otherwise. Whilst it is good to have someone with his ability to lock down a game with 20 to go. His defence and ability to get consistent ad line with each carry goes severely unnoticed. If i was Bernie, you can't go past a backrow of Valetini, Reimer and Cale. Whilst the Bernie plays a very unique style of footy, we have seen it in the past with a dominant on ball 7; George Smith, Michael Hooper and even Fraser Mcreight to an extent.

Thought there were some exciting moves by the Brumbies backline today, mostly coming to grief with a dropped ball but easily gainig very good ground. The try by Ryan Lonergan was at the end of some excellent passing and running rugby.

Scrum was always under pressure but with Slipper, Ala'alatoa and Frost to come back in, there's more than just hope they'll get good ball to work with through the season. On the other hand, the maul defence today was quite exceptional. Neither side seemed to get the upperhand at lineout time. Both were good.

I like the encouraging comments about Meredith, and he was very sharp. But imagine him with Ikitau and Wright running off his cutout passes or kicks, and Valetini and Cale coming off his shorter passing game in the middle of the park. We've yet to see the best of him.

Meredith looked great and I'd think he'll get some game time this year with Noah having to be rested here and there.

Jack Deb had a few SHOCKING kicks, not sure what that was about, was it windy?

I was also surprised by Rory Scott's physical impact. He plays like someone with an extra 20kg on him

Also does anyone know who was 22 for the brums in the 2nd half? Playing at inside centre it seemed

As I said. Is Noah any better? Don’t think so.

He and Creighton both had some absolutely crook kicks. Wondered if the longer grass was stuffing with them even? The in play kicking seemed alright.

22 was Austin Anderson. Great unders line for his try.

Anyone know the No 14 that come on to replace Ben O'D early in the 1st half? White headgear and long dark hair. He wasn't on the team sheet.
