Namibia lose to Springbok 87-0, holy crap that was like watching someone slowly drown. Namibia obviously worn out. The Bok marches on.

I still like the look of the namibian fullback botha. Nice feet and a turn of pace, and that tackle on beast near the end was just heroic.

Medal of bravery that one. Almost to easy for the Bokke and I am getting worried about the choke thats waiting around the corner. The meaning of this matches from a Bokke point of view is to look at the players not into your preffered match 22.

Aplon - full value and should have played against Fiji. His x factor and striking is perfect fopr the Samoa game.
JdJ - Three tries from the bench and deserve more game time.
Pienaar - Dunno, kicking when namibia was down and out and wont exchange him for Hougaardt or FdP.
Chilli - solid.
F Louw - solid at this level and a good backup for Brussouw.

Would be interesting to note whether the wobbly fans that are already celebrating their teams impending QF success over the boks, on their ascendency during the 3N. One wonders if they've already figured out by now that the boks don't attach much value to 3N during WC year. Love the false sense of complacency thats floating around again.

Dont talk to soon Boet, lets first get there. Snor dont gets his credit, so I'll just have to give him that. He gave more then a WC sqaud of players a change to proof themself in NZ and Aus with the away tour plus he rested his core sqaud to get them in perfect shape under the watchfull eyes of Dr Derick Coetzee and Rassie Erasmus. Then he add Nienaber the Stormers defensive coach to his group. This all pay neat dividends at the moment and he have put the Boks in a position to give new meaning to a bench plus more waiting to get a change.

If we had Meyer or Jack White , we wont had Brussouw playing in 6 nor Beast in LH plus we would had the ANC maon and bitching about to m,any whites in the team.

Pity you couldn't detect the sarcasm in my quote Hawky-baby. Now here's a headline you wont easily see in tomorrows SMH..... "Boring as 'bat-shit' boks playing the most enterprising rugby of the tournament ." (hehehe!!)

Nothing much to learn from this game other than the discipline. Like Smit said they went into the sheds are refocused. Good sign.

So has anyone pushed for a starting bid? Prolly Aplon only.

I hope they see he offers more than Habana and give him a start.

What to do with Hougaard though but I reckon they see him as a super sub now.

Will be interesting to see what side they pick against Samoa.

Got to start Alberts ahead of Spies.

Just returned from the game, fairly good atmosphere and a almost full stadium.

Just a good hit out nothing else other than Houghard is seriously asking some big questions as to the permanent scrummy but we all know he will continue to be wing and scrumhalf cover off the bench. Spies once again look so lethargic.

Problem is he does one or two decent runs that keeps him his place. He is there on the hop that he'll score a try from half way which hasn't happened in a Bok jersey for 2 years.

They aren't going to start Alberts but possibly Danie at 8 if Bakkies and Vic are fit? That was the plan before the Cup so we'll see.

I'd like to see that with Bakkies coming off at half time and Alberts coming on at 8 with Danie to 4.

Match 22 vs samoa wont differ much from this:
Lambie, JPP, Jac Fourie, F Steyn, Habana, M Steyn, FdP, Spies, Burger, Brussouw, Matfield , Bakkies, J Doep, Smit, Guthro

Bench: CJ, Bismarck, Beast, Alberts, Aplon, Hougaard, JdV

Ya forgot Dannie Paarl. He has been your best player this tournment, I'd have him over Bakkies to start even, not that it'd happen.

Oh shite ja. Thing that worries me today was the cleaning at the rucks. Hougaard had some pressure there. Dunno if it had to do that we played without a fetcher specialist. Thats Bakkies area and I will start with him. Probably remove CJ from the bench and play Matfield from there and start with Bakkies and Danie.

Agree about Aplon. He deserves to start and offers heaps in attack and gives nothing away in defence. He is also capable of carving up a defence after a kick ahead. Put Hougaard on the bench to cover scrummie and utility back in case of injury or else bring him on as an impact replacement.
I would also like to see more of JdJ. I think he is a class player. Problem is who do you leave out.
In the forwards, I am not too fazed. I do think that Spies has been playing on reputation too long. He is a bit of a flat track bully and I would like to see him replaced with someone who has a bit more fire. Not sure who though.

Spies and Habana are untouchables in the coaching team's eyes. Habana can probably run in the the opposite direction and pass the ball to an opponent and he will still get picked. I'd love to see him return to form but if it hasnlt happended by now it ain't going to happen.

As for Spies? Imagine we actually played with 8 forwards instead of 7. Wow.

Alberts is even more hard done by than Bismarck (who I actually think playing off the bench is a good idea because by the time he comes on he is in no mood to be fucked with :).

JdJ's time will come. this world cup came a year or two too early for him.

Swarley:

I'd like to see Danie start with Vic and in the second half Danie moves to 8 with Bakkies coming on.
