Both were penalty-level offences but Reds were on a warning for too many penalties on their line. 2nd was the new rule about interfering with the pass when in/around the ruck, 3rd was for playing the ball off your feet

Awesome first 20 by the Reds followed by a touch-and-go YC. And a couple more legitimate, and one that seemed pretty clear and possible red that wasn't called. Tough work by MP (Moana Pasifika) in the second quarter where they will rue their worjk not being more successful on the score board. I've completely enjoyed what it is (for me) a return to rugby.

2nd yellow was quite pedantic really. JOC (James O'Connor) had a bloke hanging off him chasing the play an hour ago and couldn’t even get a penalty.

I take your point, but also it was an over-refereed, stop-start, slow, festival of errors. A very distinct departure from the 'keep the game fast and flowing' directive that the refs have supposedly been given for this season.

Looking forward to the second half regardless.
