That mob probably took out the monthly profit of the poor joint. Hope they drank a heap of beers to even the ledger.I'm sure they would've got their $27 worth of the all-you-can-eat chicken, fries, and sides

On rugby heaven - Horan and Horwill talking as though Thorn finishing at the end of the season is a sure bet
Agree QLD has seen far too much talent (players and coaches) leave the operation. If we could work out a way to keep them all the FRANCHISE would be world beaters.I am at best ambivalent on Thorn closing out. In contrast to this, I'm hoping we can see some respect and recognition for his contribution. Don't forget the revolving doors through to co interim head coach scenario between Link and Thorn. Brad has definitely seen stability return the club. As others have said, unless the guy is looking to develop (maybe overseas) the Reds should be looking to how to retain the guy in another position. Thorn has plenty to offer.
“Every interview (with Rennie) was just based on speed, speed, speed,” he told AAP on Friday.
“It put pressure on me; I started getting my technique wrong and I kept pulling my hamstring.
“I struggled mentally, dealing with serious back-to-back injuries for the first time, I didn’t have confidence getting back and running full speed.
“I’ve never been that guy, I never hit top speed until game day … I’d been focused too much on trying to get my speed back, I forgot about the footy.
“Now that’s behind me … I just want the footy in my hands again.”
The 27-year-old was honest when asked if he’d fallen out of love with the sport since the move to Ballymore.
“I was feeling like that in (Wallabies) camp. All I could see was that next week I would be holding pads again (and not playing) and I know some of the other Reds boys felt the same,” he said.
“We felt if we weren’t playing we’d rather come back and play club footy.
This has been prevalent for a number of years in Australian Rugby. Players attempt to do things that are not within their skillset because they want to be considered "an x factor" player.I've just watched the first half against Canes cause I missed it. It was a good contest. The problem maybe is the stamina in the second half and obviously the depth.
On the other hand, I saw some offloading in 50/50 situations. You should play safe against a superior rival
“I have to put in work to get him to pick me."Some pretty juicy, anti-previous administration comments in here:
'I struggled mentally - I've never been that guy': Suli blames Rennie's demands for failure to launch as a Wallaby
Suliasi Vunivalu has revealed how Dave Rennie's training demands almost drove him out of rugby as he prepares to live up to new Wallabies…www.theroar.com.au
“I have to put in work to get him to pick me."
But just not put in the work at training? Is it just turn up on game day and play?
That whole article is confusing tbh.
His performances for Reds in Japan looked like he'd just come across from volleyball - How'd that happen?
He was completely lost any time someone ran near him with the ball!!!!!He got player of the match that game.
Defensively he has looked lost every game I felt. I can't understand how the Reds coaches haven't been working on his defensive positioning, opposition teams will target that and that puts pressure on other players to cover him.He was completely lost any time someone ran near him with the ball!!!!!
I opened up a courier mail for the first time in years this morning. 8 pages of league, 1 page AFL, season not started, half page of soccer, 2 pages cricket. Not one mention of rugby. FFS basketball even had a quarter of a page. How does that get the casual fan engaged? The Broncos beating the reigning premiers in the first game of the season in their own fortress doesn’t help the Reds with their bandwagon fans.
Will need a big win this weekend to keep them relevant.
Eloff there as well for 2024.1 Wallaby and two very fringe Wallabies
Agreed, been like that for a long time. You would think that the Reds would be pushing media releases etc to the CM. They will write in depth about NRL games not involving any Qld teams but not even write up that the Reds are playing. I would be interested to know if the QRU just get no engagement from Courier Mail or are they not promoting the game to them?I opened up a courier mail for the first time in years this morning. 8 pages of league, 1 page AFL, season not started, half page of soccer, 2 pages cricket. Not sitting with the team - early defection confirmed!!!Taniela will be down in Melbourne for Super Round along with 80% of the contracted players so hopefully people don't take that as 'he's already at the Rebels!'
