The rise of rookies Max Jorgensen, Langi Gleeson and Tom Lynagh continues apace after Eddie Jones was captured pencilling them into a draft squad on Sunday for his first Wallabies camp.

Its beginning!

Should JOC (James O'Connor) come back into the 15 or are the Reds better off sticking with Lynagh? Based on his 2 game career we do not seem to miss much by playing Lynagh, and I think there is more upside to having him start.

I say start him, but be ready to pull him from starting at the first signs of weakness

If JOC (James O'Connor) is proper fit, with some form, that's no choice at all. JOC (James O'Connor) all the way. And it's no dismissal of Tom at all.

JOC (James O'Connor) played well in his 15min - felt like he might’ve found his spark again. He seemed really energised around the park and just excited to be out there.

A selection headache, but a good problem to have.

I would start Lynagh and if he falters hook him straight away, this may be the 5th minute, or the 75th. We have a backup in JOC (James O'Connor) who can play multiple positions but also provides the stability while Lynagh learns the trade against talented men.

If you start JOC (James O'Connor), how many minutes would you plan for Lynagh?

Right now there is no reason to plan for JOC (James O'Connor) having long minutes. None at all. I don't mind him coming in from the bench. For several games. I wouldn't plan anyone starting with an intention to rotate before half time - too much risk if there is a later problem. Let one take 50, and the other 30. Don't really care which way around. And I don't see a need to change the thinking for many rounds. Barring injury.

get what you’re saying but couldn’t think of anything more detrimental to a players development then hooking them at the 5th minute if they messed up.

If you’re willing to start Lynagh, then they need to back him to play at least till the 50/60th minute.

With JOC (James O'Connor)/Lynagh, they just need to juggle their physical toll. Lynagh is still young, he shouldn’t be playing every game. JOC (James O'Connor) is old, rest him when he is sore.

I reckon this was Hunters best performance at being a second ball player. Seemed like he regularly would step in and receive the ball as first receiver allowing Tom to inject himself when required.

I definitely thought the Hunter and Flook was a better balance than Henry and Hunter.

I'd start JOC (James O'Connor) v Brumbies. Lynagh has been good so far but JOC (James O'Connor)'s experience will be much needed v Brumbies to guide the team. I'd stick with Paisami and Flook in the centres. Daugunu didn't look 100% and if he's not available, I'd have Jock Campbell on the wing, Vunilvalu on the other wing and Petaia at the back. Any updates on injuries (Jones, Blyth, Vest, Henry)?

This is extraordinary. What's more extraordinary is that I agree. Worse than that, Jock may not force his way to 11/14. We already have good wingers.

I think I'd take Jock over Vuni/Daugunu, with one of them moving to the bench. Jock's ability to slot in as a very effective fullback would nicely compliment Petaia's most impactful style of play at 15 (i.e., getting hands on the ball) imo

Any injury update on Jones/Blyth/Vest/Tauakipulu
I haven't seen anything one way or the other yet, but I believe both Nasser and Jeans are due back this weekend and you'd hope a couple of those guys would be available, though I think Angus Blyth is supposed to be another couple of weeks off.

How good has been Lynagh Junior in these games. It makes me think if his brother is that good too. Would u like to bring Louis to play for his father team? Blood is not water

Sure I would love to have him but at the expense of who in this reds team? Back 3 is already very congested with wallabies capped players.
