[Ringer From the Top End]

With this weeks upcoming 'Grand Final' set to take place between NC and BSHS, It make me wonder, when was the last time a Grand Final Like this with two unbeaten teams took place in the GPS comp.

Would have to be the 2018 Ross Oval GF between NC and TSS. Best schoolboy match that's ever happened IMO. And nudgee stepped up in that game, so don't be surprised if they do it again.
What's gonna be the matchup of the day?
I reckon it'll be the two Number 4's Eli Langi and Kaspowiszc
Or the two Outside centres

Thanks for this mate, mustve taken ages to put together. Interesting to see BSHS in so many of these premiership races. Not usually as strong in the younger ages. NC are really just a mammoth rugby program. Very impressive.

I think you would be surprised in how big the gap is and getting bigger I think to be fair.

I think this is real unfair to a young and inexperienced BGS side. They have progressed amazingly as the season has gone on and are inching closer and closer to a victory. Id take BGS 1s over the Nudgee 2s EVERYDAY!

It was a great shame to see that the young and talented Bas Stonely out for the rest of the season. ive heard something about a shoulder surgery, which doesn't sound too great... It's a real loss for that BGS 2's team, as one of their standout players is out. However, a big off-season for him is going to make him a real weapon. 2025 loading...

It surprises me that GT are -88, they came into this season looking to chase the premiership and have a repeat of 2016. Does anyone know how Ollie Nasser went as skipper?

@The Occasional Fly Half how good was that game down the range on Saturday. I was secretly hoping DC would get over but my word. Joey grey was on everything.

Was a good game but TGS outside backs far too sharp, J. Grey was superb winning many breakdowns as DL went on attacking raids. Rosemond was a very close 2nd for MVP.

Just 1 round left gents, conversations have been brewing about the awards of best back and best forward etc. Heres my opinion for the awards, thoughts??

Best Back - Nick Conway
Best Forward - Trent Picot
Rookie of the year - Issac Kefu
MVP - Roman Siulepa

I think Issac Kefu has been solid, but I don't think he's rookie of the year worthy when there's plenty of other guys who have had more impact on their own team. I think Tai Taka has had more impact for BBC in his first year compared to Issac Kefu and that's just one example.
