Iliesa Baravilala, Myles Rosemond, Tom Bailey and Joey Gray played out of their skin against downlands in a dominant 40-15 win. Myles Rosemond, scoring 2 and setting up just as many was the most dangerous person on the field, followed closely behind by Ily, who in the last 15 minutes of the game was uncontainable. Joey Gray and Tom Bailey as usual put in their usual hard working shifts, with Joey Gray leading from the front and Tom Bailey being the most dominant forward on the field. Whilst TGS haven’t had the season they wished they had it’s safe to say selectors must keep in mind these 4 boys because they have been consistent all season. With Aussie 18s still having spots open, you have to consider Tom, Joey and Ily especially who are all in Year 12.

Selectors won‘t be looking at the schools that have performed badly this year. That‘s just the way it is. They have a closed mindset when choosing players and if schools are losing they don’t get looked at unfortunately. Happens every year. There are boys in 2nds who are carving and would play 1sts at other schools, will they get looked at? No, why? Because they are playing 2nds. Is it right? NO but that’s the way it is unfortunately.

What a mammoth effort from GT. Nearly took down the soon to be premiers BSHS. Only down 7, on their line giving away a penalty which ruined their chances. What a game, top performer goes to Saia Poese, George Hales and Xavier Coorey (debut). Suilepa was shut down completely. Only scored one average pick and go try.
Great day of footy
Siulepa scored two tries

I’ve heard talks that after the game the GT ‘youth’, chirped a BSHS player… And either an uncle or father of the player, grabbed the boy by the collar, and said a threat… Not on. If you can’t bear the noise of your son being insulted, even after they won, GROW UP.
GT young lad was escorted off BSHS property by the GT MIC for a comment made to a BSHS player about his father . . . . . he crossed the line.

Heard rumours of Suilepa's dad abusing a terrace boy. If that is true he should be banned from attending GPS games. Go the Bear next week, State High display no sportsmanship. I can see where Roman gets his ego from. Hope the Kefu coaches have a talk to their boys ahead of the thumping they are gonna receive next week at Ross. Have fun losing by 50 Statey.
We were standing with Siulepa's dad and the banter about Roman from the GT boys was constant and that was ok with Roman's dad, until the GT boy started saying stuff about Romans dad, the young fella crossed the line was escorted off BSHS premises by the GT MIC, received apology from the GT MIC and Roman's mum wanted to make sure that the GT young fella was ok. Back to the game, GT played exceptionally well especially in the heat.

Hey Guys, I hope this finds the forum well. It's been quite some time since I've been on and I think I may have missed a lot, but wow what a weekend of footy. I initally was at MISKIN to watch BBC vs Nudgee but I could already tell by the warmup that NC were going to dominate and It would be a waste of my Saturday afternoon. So I quickly drove to Fursden road to watch the BSHS VS GT game and wow I am happy I made that choice. It was a great affair between the both sides with the GT boys all playing out of their skin, similar to there game against Nudgee. The line out and scrum for both teams was great. It could have gone anyones way, but with State High being undefeated and on top of the moon with their confidence, they got the bounce of the ball . I must say however I was overall disappointed by the referring for both sides, in which there was some blatant calls that weren't missed. Overall however I think state high came into this game thinking they were going to win without working, however you cannot do that against terrace the brave. If they have a similar attitude this Sat, I could easily see another game like NC VS TSS. All the hype, yet it won't even be a close game. On the other hand, this close scare could serve them well and flip a switch mentally. Regardless, BSHS did not live up to the expectation. For indivudual performances, I thought BSHS best was Trent Picot and GT's best was Saia POESE.
Cheers
