Just saw Michael Hooper on TEN news. He was asked about KB (Kurtley Beale). He gave a spirited defence - Did he think KB (Kurtley Beale) should be sacked from the team? An unequivocal "No."

None of the usual we'll see what happens at the hearing etc.

This has a way to run yet.

The only thing running right now is Hooper's future as captain down the drain, as he defends a guy with solid evidence against him for workplace harassment and cyber bullying (let alone rumours entering from the wings).

I don't think anyone's been blown away by his on field results as captain of late.

This is not a good addition.

I've been a Hooper supporter until this.

From what we know, it seems like looking after a mate, not backing the correct discipline procedures.

Hooper, current captain of the Tahs, just displayed a little more diplomacy then you're giving him credit for. He knows KB (Kurtley Beale) is truly gone from the Wallabies. But he definitely wouldn't be doing anything to keep KB (Kurtley Beale) at the Tahs by coming out and completely condemning him.

It's not a good look........

While he's not going to come out and say he should be sacked, doing the opposite and stating that he shouldn't be sacked is just as bad, considering there's no disputing the fact that Beale is responsible for such a terrible act............

It is what it is

If I've got this right;
- Link has denied anything other than a professional relationship with Patston.
- Link has denied any knowledge of the text issue, seeing it or being involved with anything to do with it, until early last week.
- Pulver has stated that he had no knowledge of the text until early last week.
- Pulver has stated that Link knew nothing about the text until early last week.
- Beale has acknowledge sending the offensive text.
- Beale and Patston acknowledge dealing with the text issue back in June with an apology offered by Beale and accepted by Patston at that time.
Hopefully the investigation isn't too limited in scope and the whole truth is forthcoming.

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as well has been tweeting his support of Beale. There's just no happy end to this. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has been one of my favourite players but he's showing poor judgement as a vice captain and senior player.

Well, if we are judging people by performance,Link is in more trouble than KB (Kurtley Beale).

On field results suggest he is under performing.

Off the field,it appears he has been incompetent in his management of the relationship between his squad and the person he appointed to be their team manager.(assuming reports of his calling a meeting in Turin then ignoring the feedback are correct)

Some commentators here in NZ think Link will be sacked before the test next weekend. Because they believe he lied in the press conference when asked if he was involved with Patston.

I think that's what you MEANT to say, before anyone flies off the handle.

Its being sold as gospel now, but I think most people here have got a handle on it. On twitter, I've seen people pull the Bill Clinton comparison - that the way it was stated is the key:

"Ah! Link said he IS NOT in a relationship so that means he WAS in a relationship"

Certainly this part of it - the bits about being accused of "home-wrecking" - are the toughest bits for Patston to deal with.

In all fairness, he only retweeted something from Drew Mitchell saying something like "let's hope KB (Kurtley Beale) gets some good news today" and that was all of it.

Yeah fair enough although he was in a the leadership group that put pressure on Link in Argentina re Beale. Again that could be nothing. I just want the team to pull together and stick it to the ABs. Imagine what a win would do?

Double edged sword - it would help us calm down no doubt, but would it also be used as a rallying cry by the dissenters?

Its hard to tell. I've given up trying to figure out Generation Me.
