Does anyone know how long Frisby has been signed up for? I believe he is still on academy deal but surely with this new situation he'll be put onto a full contract. I'm confident he can fill the gap and is a better halfback than Lucas who can be better utlized elsewhere on the field.

not harsh. the truth.

He may be after the money but he's got a limited time in the game: as for the suggestion that he isn't thinking about his career: how will it impact on his career? he's won a s15 title and he'll still have the same likelihood of being picked for the Wallabies.
I cant see that it will necessarily be detrimental to whatever development he has left in him.
But I can see it as huge boost for rugby in WA because he is such a recognisable players and seems a very approachable sort of bloke who does OK in the media.
If it makes it more likely that Pocock will stay in Perth and/or that other young players will be attracted over there then its good for the game and, as Nusadan rightly points out, good for Australian rugby.
...and why does this development mean they aren't also going to spend big bucks on a coach?

exactly ruggo. i'm not pissed off. just stating facts. if he ain't going to be there next year we need to see what frisby's got. we wont find that out with him playing 5 minutes each week.

I dont really understand that: why is it better to find out now that he cant hack and lose the competition points this year rather than next?
Its almost certain that the Reds wouldnt go into next season with him as the lead off half even if they tried him now and thought he had the goods.
I'd be scouting for a marquee half from NZ to come in over the top of him.

So torn on this. I guess because it's come totally out of the blue.

I like the Force and want them to do well, and if keeping Pocock means sending Genia there so be it, but for the news to come right now? Wow, just really shocked.

the silly shenanigans Link is playing with his various new future jobs couldn't have helped with this.

reds are throwing away everything they built in the past 2 years. sad to see.

Who says Frisby will be the successor? Personally I would welcome the return of Benny Lucas to the position.

I am more concerned with winning another title and would rather We put our best 15 out for the rest of the year.

inside shoulder... i'm not sure if you've noticed but our season is pretty much over already.

Ths statement is so wrong. The brumbies, reds and Tahs are all in with a chance if finishing on top of the conference and getting a home final. Fr the reds, you have quade coming back soon, on Friday night your forward pack turned up for e first tine thus year and gave Genia soe decent space and he had a decent to good game. If quade comes back in firm or close to it you have a pretty decent chance to give the comp a shake at the very least.

I thought Tahs fans were the ones who were meant to be fickle.

i'm not fickle. the first game of the season reeked of grand final hangover. and it hasn't gotten any better.
