So...I'm torn for this week. Thinking of buying Beale, but would have to sell either J'OC or Dan Carter. J'OC can score steadily I think, so I'm thinking Dan Carter, who has a buy in 2 weeks anyway. Beale could be up or down points-wise I think, whereas I reckon Dan Carter is a steady 30 - 40 point earner week in week out. Thoughts?

My personal opinion is that you will end up shooting yourself in the foot if you keep trying to play the matchups. What happens if you get injuries next week or players are picked on the bench and you are stuck with a player you only wanted for a round?

Beale might very well score 2 tries and put up 51 like he did in Round 1 against the Rebels. But it's a risk

I really want Sharpie and Doppies so it looks like I'll have to sell Messam or Thomson to afford Beau... thinking Thomson at the moment, then buy him back in 2 weeks after the bye..

Edit: If Doppies is out then it's to the drawing board I return.....

Baabaa, got a team list for the Lions?

Why the Hinch avatar?
Hinch... hench...
Feel free to change it if you like, we assign one if you get to 50 posts without an avatar.

I'm having a close look at Elton Janties, or maybe Julian Savea for Giteau. This is just for a bench spot, had too much cash tied up in reserves.

Edit: Reckon Savea of the 'Canes is the pick, it's a long time they have another bye, he's very cheap so should appreciate, and getting better each week. If he can cut down the errors he'd be scoring big.

The indecision was killing me, so I've confirmed transfers..

Woodcock, May, (McIntosh)
Hore (Chillyboy)
Skyes, Sharpe (Steenkamp)
Thomson, Messam, Beau (Todd)
FdP (Eaton)
Kurtley (c), Carter, Ice, (Savea)
Sivi, Shmoo, Fruean (Masaga)

Still tossing up the outside back to bench. Palu looks good, but wouldn't expect more than 50 minutes from him.

Good point but I almost see him getting an easy try somewhere in the game. It's fitting.

Go the force!!!!

Bloody hell, I finalised my team yesterday as I was just spending too much time going over things. Had Doppies as my captain.
Woodcock, Slipper (Mackintosh)
Robinson (Flynn)
Sykes, Bekhuis (Reddish)
Thomson, Spies, Latimer/Kaino (still not sure who to start)
Eaton (Pretorius)
Strauss, Savea, Beale (la Grange)
Sivi, Fruean, Schmoo (c) (Payne)

biggest dilma is on my back row. Minnie has been killing it last 2 games, and Kaino has been lackluster - but kiwi back rows tend to score big playing other kiwi opposition. May go with Kaino hope for about 30 out of him. The point of this post is to let you all know to put minnie in your team this week, because if he's on my bench hwill score 60

Our backlines are almost identical except I have Masaga instead of Sivi with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) on the bench....makes me feel pretty good!!

Damn McIntosh...knew I shouldn't have subbed him in early in the week.

McIntosh (damnit), Myth, (Weeks)
Battleship, (Chilliboy)
Francois Louw, Sykes, (O'Neill)
Kaino, Thomson, Saffy, (Salvi)
Genia, (Cowan)
Bieber, Gilbert, the Duck, (Uys) (Uys needs a nickname!)
Schmoo (c), Sivi, Lambie, (Poki)

Plans (in no particular order):
Sub the Duck for anyone not a Duck
Sub Salvi for Beau if Beau is starting next week and bench Thomson for the bye
Sub Cowan for a cheaper starting bench halfback (Phipps? Eaton?)
Sub Sivi for a cheaper outside back in a week or two (SBW after the bye probably)
Sub Kaino for Delve
Somehow magically create some money to buy Horwill for Louw
Sub Battleship for Mealamu if I need more money
Sub Weeks for Benn Robinson (somehow)

** Most of these will probably not happen

I have a very good "pick of the week".

But am not revealing it after you all got on the La Grange bandwagon last week. :lmao:

Key matchups for this week seem to be

Fruean vs SBW
Sivi vs Masaga
Prop replacements for McIntosh
