Is there any talk of a pre season tour before the 2011 season proper. It seemed to set the team up well in previous years.

My spies have told me Lindsay Crook, Australian Schools 2010 winger has signed a pro Academy contract with the Brumbies. It will be announced soon by the Brumbies. He was close to going to the Tahs but the offer was too good from down south.

I have not seen him play but I'm told he is super quick and is a sub 11 seconds/100m runner. He scored 3 trys for Queensland 1 against NSW 1 at the recent National Schools C'ships.

There is now a tug-of-war for his services from Sydney clubs who want their hands on the speed machine. My tip; either Pirates, Norths, Southern Districts or Eastwood. Would love to see him at Eastwood with new sevens signing Jason Seage on the other wing. We will see.

I heard he was going to the Tahs also and that Oz 7's was interested in him. I didn't mention it as my informant didn't want it known but now that observer has mentioned it, and it's going to be in the public domain soon anyway, we need not keep it a secret - and my info, except that he would leave Queensland, would have been wrong anyway.

I foreshadowed some time ago that Queensland couldn't keep all of their young gun outside backs that have gone through their schools system in the last 3 years or so, knowing that Crook would go, and it would make sense that one or two others may move also.

I know he was interested in a University course and perhaps they have one in Canberra that is more suitable. As for a Sydney club: I heard the Pirates had got him but since the Tahs info was wrong, that may be wrong also.

Regardless, if he proves to be a good footie player in senior rugby, as apart from his obvious speed, it will be good for Oz rugby at some level wherever he plays. I wish the young fellow well.

Would be interesting to see the two of them and John Grant, all immensely talented, fighing it out for the wing spots at Eastwood. Or at Southern with KH and Nicky Price.

Canberra Wests and since it's his first game for about 1 year, the chances of him going on the Spring tour are remote.

There are only 2 (3 at most) games remaining in the local comp so I really can't see it happening, especially considering Mumm's position is somehow untouchable and the fact that Simmons is on the rise also. The only way he could possibly get in is due to injury.

That does not even factor in the possible return of Horwill which makes it even harder for him. Look forward to seeing him get around in the super 15 next year though.

Well the Whiteys just beat the Brumbies, sorry the Vikings

Much like last year it was decided in the final minute, but a reverse result

The QBN centre looks the goods

The Brumbies already have A Smith, T Smith, Stubbs, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and McCabe...

They're filled up with centres...

That doesn't make him any less of a player

Runners backline will most likely be: 9. White, 10. Coleman, 12. Stubbs, 13. Iongi
