Then who do you move to 15? Lealiifano? Isn't he a 10? I don't think he's played at fullback.

He was a 10 but he's played more Rugby in the last year at 12 and 15. He played 15 for the Chiefs this weekend.

He's too good of a ball runner for a 10.

Plays fullback in the ITM/NPC at the moment and has done so in the past too. Can play 10/12/15.

He was actually playing really great for the Brumbies at 12 before he got injured...

Haven't seen him play at fullback yet for Waikato but noticed he played 12 for the last game...

Anyways, he'll be an excellent bench player if he can't fit into the starting XV... that left foot step of his against tiring defenders could be a real asset...

Also: he was playing at 12 for the Vikings in the John I Dent Cup last year...

Did I read somewhere Jono Owens is a Brumbies academy players?

He is a very very handy player, outstanding at NPC level which would lead me to believe he is at LEAST the level of a Super rugby squad member.

Why oh why hasn't he got a proper contract?

I don't see that one working out...

It would be nice for the Brumbies to have one competant loosehead who wasn't Alexander...

He is playing tighthead for Counties, does he play both? Also, what club is he form?

I know Yanuyanutawa is contracted but the Brums only have 3 props currently listed on the Player profile part of their site, surely there is room for one more?

Yes hopefully Owen is elevated to fill Shepardson's departure but haven't heard any news

What about this Cam Crawford guy (not a prop). Apparently he has been signed by the Brumbies, not sure what type of contract. What's his story?

Moved to Randwick this year because he couldn't get a run at Uni. Played 3rd and 2nd grade at Uni last year.

He isn't playing NPC rugby like a 2nd or 3rd grader.

I guess it's all about what coach wants what out of a position though.

crawford has signed an academy contract i believe. watched a couple of norths games this year and he knows how to find the try line. will be interesting to see if he can bulk up a bit in their program. cant see him playing any S15 next year.

As fatprop has pointed out, they already have 4 props for next year - Alexander, Ma'afu, Palmer and Yanuyanutawa...

Hopefully Palmer can be turned into a quality loosehead... but I doubt it...

The local news here in Canberra last night said that Brumbies were keeping a close eye on Lindsay Crook and a couple of other wingers (sorry couldn't catch there names) as bolters for the Brumbies next year.

Brumbies Academy has a world renowned programme… its great place to be and refine your rugby skills...

And you never know when you’re going to get a call to play with the Super Rugby contenders...
