Get all of it and it makes sense. I just think when you look at the final table and the +\- it really isn’t providing competitive games.
Hasn’t been a one off this season either.
Oh and fully agree and think in an ideal world we'd cast a wider net younger and narrow as we get older (to account for development differences, attrition to other sports, vagaries of talent id, etc.), I just can't see them getting there right now. There is also a consideration that the pathways they've been building are very tightly coupled with the super sides and pro setups which is something they'll want to maintain - so more room for 2 sides out of NSW and QLD then any sort of combined/barbarians side.
From the 19s perspective I'd prefer they went full home and away before adding teams, and rely on the professional game to spread talent alongside improving development to lift the Force as it has the Brumbies. Whether that opens up some room to do more with the 16s I'm not sure, but there're are probably some constraints on the length of the program that don't exist for the 19s.
