Until the Argies smash us a week later.I think the frontrow will get a pass mark, which will more or less hide the deficiencies currently present in there, definitely not the best prop combination

I'm expecting them to test Shippers early, as well as Beale, to see if any of those errors still remain in his game. How's Shipperley under the high ball?
And it will be interesting to see how many times he gets passed the ball..
And a Morahan.I know right! Needs more Fainga'a(s)
Cummins doesn't score tries.even at super level. I have no problem with him coming into the training camp so the lads can pratice belting people in defence but it's imporatnt for the national teams chances that Cummins watches with the plebs from the grandstand
Playing in a very dysfunctional backline mind you. It must be a bit of a mental hurdle for Cummins that he has sat on the the periphery of the Wobs team for so long without getting a cap. Like many others on here, I think he deserves a crack before too long and probably as a center really.
Rob Horne playing left right out
Love it
Finally some progression
- Quite like the backline having regard to the injury situation
- Front row should be adequate if nothing more. Slipper is a bloke who should be starting. his work around the field is tremendous. But given that the scrum got a pass mark last week i have no problem with Deans opting for continuity with that combination.
- Interesting choice to Bench Higgers. Hopefully this motivates Higgers. He is one guy that seems to have improved each year at super level, i tend to think he'll continue to improve at test level.
- Harris is an odd choice for the side line. i see him as a specialist player (outstanding kick but nothing else). but could be good move tactically if it rains or the game is otherwise tight..
The players chosen arent my real worry. They are good players. What worries me is the fact that i expect these guys to go out there and play with no real direction or purpose. God Damn it Deans do your job.
Don't share the love for Cummins. As a winger, Shipperly is the better player with more upside. With the return of JOC (James O'Connor) and McCabe, supposedly after this week, I think he will drop from the squad.
Harris is cover for the ball playing positions of 10 and 12, also because he is the best goal kicker in the country. And if I was coach he'd be cover for 15 if beale is injured or having another Barry Crocker, rather then moving AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) from 13 and putting Faingia on. I too feel for Cummins and wonder what more he has to do to get a crack, It almost makes you want to cry when you think about some of the players who have had their first Wallabies jerseys gifted to them.
The suggestion of Tapuai instead of Harris would be making the same mistake they made selecting Mitchell (and Beale to a lesser extent) of picking a player who is coming back from injury, a little under done, under prepared (in the team environment). The whole lack of match time is less about fitness and more about, decision making in a game, timing and mental confidence in your body and your ability.
I only have on contribution to make to the discussion of Game One between RSA and AUS this week in Perth.
Shipperly.
That is all .

You spelt his name wrong.
