    The Tahs 2009

Fair enough. I dont think he will get much game time unless there are injuries.

    The Tahs 2009

Did you read it Nick? 2009 will be the second year of a 2 year contract. No blame for Hickey on that one.

    And to Wales

Sorry, I meant France not Italy.

    The Tahs 2009

I hope the black eye was just vigorous training rather than a punch. We dont need a fat, undisciplined, short tempered 10.

    And to Wales

I thought Lote was on the bench against Italy. Disco have you deliberately left Sharpe out of the 22 to start a rookie that has never played a test match and hasnt played a game at all for probably close to 3 months?

    and so onto France

Burgess isnt at fault for the penalty try. Burgess is at fault for the scrum on our 5m. The scrum is at fault for the penalty try. Smith isnt at fault for the splintered, fractured scrum. Smith is at fault for trying to, cynically, stop the French from scoring the try. If we'd set a solid scrum...

    IRB Rankings for 2011 RWC

I dont ever like seeing players injured. I was glad Rogers was tackled heavily though. The injury is a separate point.

Nick you are absolutely right, its Smith's fault our scrum got nailed. If only he had pushed a bit harder. Was he the reason we steamrolled the poms last week? He took a chance that he might give away a try that would be scored anyway but that it might save a try and just give away 3. Not that...

TYS Oz Player of the Year: le frogs

1 - Mumm - seemed to work hard and took some good lineout ball 1 - Gits - goal kicking only 1- Morty - still our best go ahead 3 - Hynes - did his job well and covered up for others. Ioane was good but made errors. Our forwards didnt really front up I thought. The aimless kicking almost hurt us...

    Munster

Not too bad. Who won the game?

    IRB Rankings for 2011 RWC

Yep, they played well that day (in Melbourne I think). Cohen ran past a very flat Latham which cost Latham his RWC starting spot. After a bit of an earlier dust up, Lewsey also crunched Rogers and broke ribs. I never liked Rogers and was glad to see him smashed.

Good point Noddy, but Kanaar wont be back and, someone else said it here the other day, nor will Vickerman I reckon.

    IRB Rankings for 2011 RWC

So, apart from the French in '87, the English are the only team to knock us out of the RWC!

    Peter Hynes

I like Hynes. He does an awful lot of tidying up. Would the Poms have won had Tuqiri played instead of Hynes on Sat? I know they play on opposite wings, but Tuquiri wouldnt have made the cover tackles Hynes did. Maybe Robbie is keeping Tuquiri on tour knowing he needs the most indoctrination...

Rugby boots - recommend something for a front rower...

I'd be surprised if you could get away with no studs as a prop. Do you do live scrums?

    Wallabies boot camps

I agree with the thrust of your point Turban. However, I think world rugby is relatively weak at the moment and as such although Australia arent all time great, they dont need to be to be amongst the best. The areas we have improved in are the areas which were identified as needing improvement...

Rugby boots - recommend something for a front rower...

On Australian grounds the difference that 2mm will make is to drive the casing of the stud screw through into your foot causing blisters and bruises. Unless its a wet season our grounds are generally pretty hard. I think you can get 15mm (or thereabouts) studs Nick. Alternatively, see if...

    The Tahs 2009

Brett was on the bench for the Crusaders at the end of last year. Bateman played 12. With Carter gone, you would think Brett would play 10, but it all depends on form. Brett might be good, but he aint Carter on or off the field.

    Rocky Elsom

Elsom can be hot and cold. He isnt as brutal in defence as he should be for a bloke his size. His running game is pretty good. His work at the breakdown can be a little bit headless chicken. I like what I am seeing from Mumm and MMM. I hope Rocky does come back, but I wouldnt pick him for this...
