    Baa Baas V Wallabies

I'm with you Nick. That's not how you do it and even if it was, Pocock is getting ahead of himself if he thinks he is the one to do it.

    New Blood

Scarfman I think your stats are out. This year: Cross, Hynes, Tahu, Brown, Cooper, O'Connor, Pocock, Burgess, Mumm, Kepu, Alexander and Turner. That is 12. 13 if you count Kimlin who will play for the Wallabies but not in a test. If you also include Ioane and Horwill, its 15. The bolded ones...

World XV 2008 - Outside Back Nominees

You might be talking about me naza. I thought at the start of the EOYT that it would be Mortlock's last. He has played better than he did domestically though (I think). There are also no other worthy 13s. Mortlock wont last until 2011. If he plays more than another season I will be surprised.

World XV 2008 - Tight Forward nominations

No disciplinary probs recently though. DOC and AWJ are both athletic skillful players, but to counter the Boks brutality, Hines would be helpful. Not sure if he will be picked, but that is my not very humble opinion.

World XV 2008 - Tight Forward nominations

I said it on TSF, but I think Nathan Hines is a very good lock. Not World XV, but combative, confrontational, good in the scrum, the air and the loose. I hope he and POC are the locks for the Lions. Their battles with Matfield and Botha will be enormous. Hines v Botha will be particularly brutal.

So who has played their last test? and who will struggle with the cattle back?

I think Smith will struggle to be a permanent run on in tests. I think he will be an off the bench next year and that will be it. Isnt fishing punishable? Smith is, with McCaw, the best 7 in the world. You are dreaming if you think he is going to struggle. Dealing only with touring players...

TYS Oz Player of the Year: Wales

I dont think anyone stood out. 2. Sharpe 2. Burgess 1. Chisolm 1. Giteau Apart from being penalised, I didnt think Waugh did much. Brown didnt seem to do much either. The Welsh backrow played a big part in the victory. Burgess made some important turnovers and tackles. Sharpe and Chisolm...

    Us and Them

If you saw the BBC opening to today's game you would realise just how enormous the NH v SH thing is up here. It was Lord of the Rings themed.

    The Tahs 2009

When he said lifting his own body weight, I initially thought bench pressing 125kg, but I now think he just means chin ups, push ups, sit ups etc. Could be wrong.

How Experimental Law Variations have cut the Six Nations down to size

Thomo should we track your signature regarding the ELVs and when you first started playing with them? You had made up your mind long before this NH season. I think the point you are missing is that the ELVs work together and each has consequences which interact with the others. In the absence...

    Ireland V Argies

That was the game plan for Argentina, the Boks, the Poms and probably others during the RWC. Thomo I'm not sold on the pulling down of mauls, but I think they can still be a useful weapon even if they can be pulled down. That is where we disagree. You think its maul armageddon.
