    Western Force 2021

Definitely think his form has been good. Has been a consistent performer, making plenty of metres, especially in contact and cleaning up quite a bit of loose ball and messy backline play. I'd say Ralston, Godwin, Stowers and Lee-Warner have been our best this year

    Western Force 2021

Interesting that he mentions being welcomed by Godwin and the Force have used this in their media statement. Perhaps it's becoming more likely that Godwin won't head off to the Waratahs as rumoured (which would be good news given his form this year at the Force)...

    Western Force 2020

It might be my blue tinted glasses, but I rate Bardoul and Lee-Warner at lock. They've had time to learn off Thrush now as well, so between the 2 of them, Thrush and Atkins I don't think lock is a major area of concern. Loosehead is probably the biggest worry. From memory both K-Bomb and...

    Western Force 2020

Where do you think the deficiencies in the squad are Reg? Actually think we're looking good enough in all positions now. My main concerns were prop and flyhalf, which have been bolstered by Holmes and Lance. Scrumhalf is perhaps the only other concern I have if Prior happens to get injured...

    Australian Rugby / RA

No doubt a lot less money than could've been obtained from an open tender process, given WA is chipping in $5m for one Bledisloe and this sounds something like $14m for 6 tests, including the much bigger Lions test. I guess the kickbacks / conflicting interest benefits wouldn't be quite as good...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Pretty amazed at the apparent lack of interest and discussion here on the senate enquiry and major dirt it is uncovering. There are a number of new submissions up which are well worth reading, including: - Alan Winney (showing a FAR superior bid for the rebels was available compared to...

It would also be interesting to see where some of these "consultancy fees" and other similar expenses have gone...

Submission 15 to the Senate enquiry is well worth a read: https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Community_Affairs/Futureofrugbyunion/Submissions

NRC 2017 Round 4: Fiji Drua vs Perth Spirit - Saturday @3pm AEST

Looks like the Spirit have stuck with taking a side with more club players on away games. Still a solid looking team and should be a cracker of a game Nick Jooste is back in Perth for the Spirit, isn't he? Would like to see him given a run at some point...although it's kind of pointless for...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yep, those clauses look pretty clear really. Clearly the legal eagles on the RugbyWA side didn't review the terms thoroughly enough, or were too naive in thinking the ARU wouldn't use this against them. Would be interesting to see if this was an amendment proposed by the ARU, in which case it...

NRC 2017: Perth Spirit vs Melbourne Rising @ McGillivray Oval 3pm Sunday AWST

Great turnout for the game and was a closer contest than I expected. Looks like there's some good young talent in the rising team. Philip, Nasairani, Meakes and Ruru were very good for the spirit. Liked the look of Tuipolotou, maddocks and McGregor for the rising. Good to see Cheika and Grey in...

    Force 2018

Sadly, I'd imagine he's got more than enough links with a few old boys around town to get some very well paid gigs. Sadly, it's largely about who you know rather than performance.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So if the contract is void, does the license go back to RugbyWA?

    Force 2018

Huge news and a great resigning! I'm sure every other franchise would've been offering him big money, so great to see him sticking with the Force

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I would think the fairest and simplest solution would be to separate the Super Rugby and Wallaby top up contracts. At the moment, they are negotiated as a single contract and therefore the Super Rugby portion of a wallaby's contract is likely smaller than it would be if they weren't a wallaby...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I believe the figure is actually $3.7m from TWF Alison's investigations http://twf.com.au/showthread.php?t=39201

    Rebels 2018

Not to mention the estimated $650,000 in legal costs that are going to be incurred for fighting the axing of the team, even with massive subsidies from Lavan and McCusker. That certainly isn't a drop in the ocean when you consider the tight margins we're running on...

    The Wallabies Thread

DHP a dark horse for captain? Has pretty much started every test for the Wallabies for the last couple of years, plays the full 80 most games, is level headed and speaks well. When he's taken the role at the Force, his ref management has been good as well. Certainly not petulant as Moore...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The glaring problem with that graph is that it isn't adjusted for the number of teams on in the competition. Coming 4th out of 12 teams isn't the same as coming 4th out of 18 teams, which is obviously more difficult. So the averages should be more like: 12 teams: 5.49/12 = 0.46 14 teams...
