Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

I'm actually a bit more positive on the Force's chances of a bonus point win. I think our attack looked a lot better last week and it was essentially the backline's first outing together. We were generally making good metres whenever we kept the ball in hand, which was a big change from the rest...

Super Rugby RD 8: Rebels v Force

Liking some of those selections for the Force, but not others. Great to see Miotti finally given a crack and interesting that it's straight into starting at 10. Not sure about our coverage at 10 and 15 if him or Macgregor goes down though. Thought Lance did pretty well when required to come on...

    Western Force 2022

The list on TWF has Robertson and Cubelli on for 2022, although tough to find out whether that's accurate or not. Hopefully it is, as they've both been good for us this year. So the obvious areas for concern are (somewhat in priority order): Flyhalf: This is the number 1 priority, and we...

    Wallabies 2021

A bit of a left field suggestion that I'm sure won't be tried, but how would Lolesio go at fullback? The kiwis have often put younger, inexperienced fly-halves there to ease them into test rugby (Barrett, Mo'unga, Mackenzie, etc.). Lolesio has a very good running game, can create opportunities...

    Western Force 2021

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. It's rather unfortunate, because a few years back when the Force was on the chopping block, Reg was actually one of the main voices of reason and advocates of the Force on this site from the east coast. I especially appreciated that he also...

    Round 5 : Reds v Force, Suncorp Stadium, 20 March 6.45

A bit disappointed in that line-up for the Force. Surely Anstee deserves a start if he's back to full fitness and we need his ability to break the line and create chances. Would've gone Thrush or Timani to the bench instead. McIntyre has been pedestrian when starting - not engaging the...

    Super Rugby AU 2021 -Rd 4 - Force v Rebels - Fri 12/3

That team looks pretty good Kevin77, but I'd like to see a few tweaks as above. Also, can Olewofela play centre, or is he purely a winger? Hardwick to get a yellow or red card, and Force to win by 2 in a classic heart stopper.

Super Rugby Au Rnd 3 Waratahs vs Force 5th March, Sydney

Yep, As VassMan says I think it's a pretty smart strategy. Unfortunately there wasn't any real certainty with what competition the Force were going to be in this year (if any) until relatively late in the general recruitment window. So while it would've been ideal to get a few more promising...

    Western Force 2021

That team looks about right, except Wagner would definitely be ahead of Heiberg on his form last year. Looking a bit short on depth at lock and backrow however, but hopefully one or two youngsters step up in that area. Tough to leave Lance, McGregor, Taefu and McDonald out of the team, but we...

Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

It's amazing to me how DHP seems to have fallen out of favour with the GAGR crowd (and selectors if he has been back to fitness for the last couple of games). He's been out injured most of the season and has only had 1 chance for the Wallabies this season coming back from injury. In that game...

    Western Force 2021

Ah right. I was just using the Rebels 2021 thread first post as a bit of a potential shopping list :P Somewhat surprised he's sticking with the Rebels given the lack of game time he seemed to be getting there.

    Western Force 2021

There's a squad list as we currently know it on page 1 of this thread, which includes a couple of players that you've missed (but is missing a few of the rumoured and yet unconfirmed Argentinean signings). That's a pretty good looking 23 though. Starting 10 will be very interesting as all 3 look...

Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

    10. Jono Lance 12. Kyle Godwin Would have to be better than what we saw last week and what we're likely to see this week. But folly to think anyone from the Force could make the wallabies. (COVID / quarantine restrictions could also be problematic though....)

    Western Force 2021

Lacey had been looking like a good prospect in previous years, but did not look like he would be able to make the cut this year. Clay Uyen would've been good to hold onto, but I believe he's headed overseas now. The other 2 are good signings however.

    Western Force 2021

Angus Wagner was looking very good at LHP this year before he got injured early in the season and has signed on until 2022. So quite happy with the 4 props and 2 hookers than are signed so far

    Western Force 2021

Very keen for Lance to stay and I imagine he most likely will. Wasn't very impressed with Frisby however as his service was pretty slow and defense poor at times. Would much rather Abel and Cubelli, Fines or Louwrens if we can get one of them.

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

What tickets? What sort of crowd are we realistically thinking will be allowed in NSW - like 2000 maybe? Seems a very strange decision to me caring NSW over Queensland or WA given the risks for allowable crowd numbers...
