    Rebels 2015

Probably the best move for Steve. D2 is evolving into a pretty decent league actually. Plenty of good players plying their trade there.

    Reds 2014

And herein lies the issue. There's plenty of guys in Qld that could be great if they're given a shot, the trouble in when you need to sign up 5 of them in a season in roles where they're likely to see minutes some of them won't cut it and the Reds form will suffer.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Matt Hodgson is (to my knowledge) the only player to make it big out of the indigenous representative program. Surely the ARU could have done a story with him and Kurtley for Mabo Day about opportunities for indigenous peoples through rugby. Sadly that's been and gone (June 3).

The Rebels slap Weekesy's face all over everything. I think you'd be a better chance of PAE.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

The ARU's PR don't do a bad job but if you read their news releases it's all pretty mundane. I think they're more guilty of not thinking outside the box, the Charles story was given to them on a platter but all their other stories are stuff like "Country boy makes it big and plays for...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

Then it's the Wallaby PR team's job to find more special interest stories. Americans are great at creating a narrative out of sport and the ARU would do well to adopt that mindset and make more of a story out of their media work.

The Rabodirect relationship is IMO (and in the opinion of many of the staff) the number 1 asset in the Rebels' arsenal. Players have been bought or moved on purely based on if they fit Rabo's image. Why do you think the Rebels are just about the most white collar looking team/coaching staff in...

2014 IRB Junior World Championship – New Zealand

Additionally, I'd like to add that despite the U20s being a great experience and platform for exposure, when both men are 25 it will only be one of many reasons they are where they stand in the rugby world.

And he's no doubt had media training!

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

I don't understand French squads. They neither seem to be picked based on form or faithfulness to experienced players. They just throw players into games to see what sticks. Tales is their number one 10 but because he just played the Top 14 finals series he's been benched, fair enough...

    Rebels 2015

If he stays we could have: 9. Burgess 10. Hegarty 11. Kingston 12. Inman 13. English 14. Crawford 15. Harris Or if you like a play maker in 12: 9. Burgess 10. Hegarty 11. Kingston 12. Harris 13. Inman 14. English 15. Crawford Both of which are better than okay. That being said, where's...

    Reds 2015

He's not exactly coming from a position of power. In all likelihood I think he'll end up in D2 in France on a medium amount of money.

    Rebels 2015

Also let's remember he wasn't even on an EPS contract. The kid is probably not being given more than board and living expenses and is living like a professional. Luke has been picked up for the Wobs as a lock, and considering the ilk of our other locks probably won't be playing at 6 for...

He's a signing the Rebels should pursue. We need a genuine number 6, I've never seen a team consistently perform with this 2 openside model.

Foketi wouldn't have started in 2015, and probably not in 2016 either. Providing the French do the right thing for him and give him game time, he'll be back and pursuing a Super Rugby starting spot before he's even 23. Don't stress.

Just reporting what I was told.

Jefferies has been signed to the full squad next year and could use the blooding.

    Rebels 2015

He is, upgraded to full squad contract next season with Cummins taking his EPS spot. I wonder why they haven't given Jeffries a run yet.

It says in another article he works while playing semi-pro rugby. You'd take the money and some travel as a young fella, wouldn't you?
