    Aussie Player Exodus

Such a great coach. He deserves to be head of a Super Rugby side but his loyalty of the Brumbies has gotten in the way.

A million things could propel him to being a starting Wallaby. To me, despite McCalman's terrific season, he doesn't have Higgers' game breaking abilities (some call it "class"). It's perfectly possible, perhaps even likely, that Higgers will be in better form in 2015. What else could...

Guys, is their any actual rumours of Hunt coming over to you guys or is it just forum fodder? Seriously, all I hear is you guys say 'if Hunt comes over' but is there anything pointing to this more than him being off contract, a Queenslander, and you guys having cap space? Honest question.

I don't disagree with Harris and Debreczeni being more McGahan style fly halves, but not because of the reason you've said. McGahan is not a kick first coach, in fact you'll usually see the Rebels (when possible) probe for 1 or 2 phases. This is partly to get better position for the kick, but...

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

They'd know there ground and I imagine they'd have a very good idea of players, but with a tournament like this who knows. I hope there's a loan system like the NPC, that can be great for spread of talent amongst the Sydney and Brisbane teams.

Yeah, he was good too. Started against the ABs I believe. Got injured pretty soon after.

How are we Connacht? I'm sick of this being floated. Last time I checked we have the same salary cap as everyone else and get more than 5000 people to games. We're also based in Australia's most culturally diverse city. If we were based out of Tassie and had half the salary cap we'd be...

A point for this is, it's a joint signing deemed worth of precious rugby club air time. And that show's quality, quality, quality. A point against this is, the Reds are suffering an exodus and will surely have cap space, why let two decent, honest starting standard players go elsewhere?

In all fairness the bolded points are true.

The success of League players in Rugby Union

Which is surprising because Scotland usually seems to have 2-3 decent halfbacks and NO talent anywhere else. Then why'd they start him in arguably their toughest match on tour?

Agreed, strongly. What we CERTAINLY need is a lock and a hooker. What do we maybe need? Probably another 'big centre' (so we can play McGann-ball) and a 10 (though that depends on if Harris is a 10, I'm hearing rumours he is). Saia would tick one of those I guess, still there's a fair few...

My sentiments exactly. Outside of camp nobody would know. Infact it's never as simple as 'how hard do they push' because if it was logically bigger squat and/or weight would always mean better scrummager. It's equally about fitness, how do they react to different issues in the scrum, what's...

I'd like to add to this convo, did anyone see Grayson Heart start for Scotland on the weekend? That gave me a laugh after his big speech about coming over to Aussie to make it big over here.

I don't want to go too much into specifics, and I don't know the details, but I'd say both men were probably subjected to a different kind of upbringing with a different level of privilege.

It helps that he's blessed with the fast twitch muscle fibre of 4 average men.

Qld Country - official NRC thread

I don't know, both campuses have been running for at least 10 years (don't know much more than that) and ran University degrees (not just Tafe). I believe Lilydale recently underwent a substantial redevelopment before closing too. Swinburne is a mess, at least in that respect.

They've also closed 3 campuses. Things aren't always what they seem.

Yeah, it's not like it's hard to fill a back line with 110kg back line players nowadays. There's plenty of blokes like that running around in clubland. They need to be complete players.
