If it's the same article as was quoted from Code then yes there is supposition, but is it really that wrong? I'd hate for people to bury their heads in the sand just because they don't like the messenger.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Yep, I've watched plenty of club footy on Stan this year.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I've got both Kayo and Stan and I'm a Gen X'er! I wouldn't trade the streaming experience with sport for anything now. It's so superior it's not funny.
  4. The_Brown_Hornet

    Australian Rugby / RA

Well yes, but it doesn't mean its wrong either.

There's a headline at the Oz today suggesting that Nine/Stan could jump ship. It's behind a paywall so I can't get any further info.

    Rugby World Cup Matches OTA

Ireland at the breakdown were immense on the weekend. A real thing of beauty against a seriously good pack.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I'd rather stop watching sport altogether than spend even a minute watching league.

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

I was wondering the same thing from when that story broke. I think he's lost the squad, like he loses every other squad he coaches. It's not like we haven't seen this movie before.

Farking hell, never truer words spoken than from that young fella. It sums up how we all feel.

Hopefully the board and executive of RA will meet in short order and agree that the present situation cannot continue. The next five years present a massive opportunity for the game here and that the entrenched interests need to be prepared to compromise for the good of all. If they aren't then...

    Wallabies 2024

They did indeed and realistically we can too with the right people executing the right plan. I follow Aussie Rules as well and my team is Carlton in the AFL. We've emerged from some seriously dark years to play in a prelim final over the weekend. It can certainly be done.

    Wallabies 2024

I'm beginning to think the same and I'm generally an optimist. The situation is grim.

Well if a cull happens (again in our case), I'm out. Australian rugby and the Wallabies would no longer represent me.

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

I've just woken up to the news. Is this the kind of performance that suggests a coach has lost the dressing room? In my 40+ years of supporting this great team and this great code, this is absolutely rock bottom. I can't imagine anything other than the actual death of the code being worse. Wow...

That was indeed a fantastic game. Some glorious running footy, especially from Portugal.

    Sums up my feelings too

I liked your post on the basis of linking clubs to country. It's not just the norm the world over, it's the norm with elite sport here in Australia too. Cricket is our most successful sport and district/grade cricket is the production line for our elite pathways, always has been. Yes there are...

Certainly the Boks had their chances, no doubt

Ireland were impressive in that game for mine. The won the collision zone pretty consistently, especially the breakdown. The Bokke had the limitations of their selections and game exposed a bit today. They were clearly aiming to win the game with brute force and didn't really offer anything in...
